2C Sunday, January 24, 1993 Lifestyle Km-uitl? Bail Weddings Schmeltekopf-Sumrall Kelt Schmeltekopf became the bride of Rick Sumndl on Saturday, Jan. 16 at 4 p.m. in the Ttllowood Baptist Church in Houston, with the Rev. Karen Schmeliekopf and the Rev. Edward Schmeltekopf officiating.

Hie bride is (he daughter of Robert and Georgia Schmeliekopf of Fredericktbun. Hie groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. BID Sumrall of Baton Rouge, La. The bride wore a gown of taffeta with a V-neckline in both die front and back.

The bodice featured a drop waist with beaded lace throughout. The long sleeves were covered with lace at the shoulders and wrists. The full skin flowed into a chapel length train. The crown headpiece was adorned with pearls and miniature roses. She earned a bouquet of white and pink roses.

Matron of honor was Lisa HUI of Dallas. Bridesmaids were Kathy Schmeltekopf Jones, sister of the bride, and Julie Vennell. Best man was James Sumrall. Groomsmen were Boidy SiWey and Randy Beech. Chas Each, Robert Elliot and Jack Curl served as ushers.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the church. The bride attended Tivy High School, and graduated from Clark High School in San Antonio in 1986. She is a 1990 graduate of Baylor University, with a bachelor of science degree in secondary education, specializing in social studies. She is employed with Lunar CISD in Rosenberg. The groom attended Walker High School in Walker, La.

He is a 1985 MRS. RICK SUMRALL graduate of Louisiana Stale University, with a bachelor of science degree in Petroleum Land Management. He is employed by Shell Western Inc. Following a wedding trip to San Antonio, the couple is at home in Houston. Porter-Sharp Cherie Renee Porter became the bride of John Thomas Sharp on Saturday, Jan.

2 at 6:30 pjn. at Miller Chapel of Baylor University in Waco in a double ring ceremony with Dr. Dan Bagby officiating. The bride is the daughter of Wayne and Metallic Porter of Terlingua. The groom is the son of Ron Sharp of Texas City and Jane Sharp of Kerrville.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride was attired in a candlelight satin gown with a chapel-length train. Her gown had a v-neck and back, a basque waist, and Gigot sleeves. Chantilly lace wiWpearls and'bending 'covered the- glswn. She earned a bouquet of champagne, pink and wine roses. Attending the bride as maid of honor was Martha Hewell of Dallas.

Bridesmaids were Rachel Rawlinson Ellsworth, Valerie Murray, Julie Markwardt and Mary Helen Robertson. Margaret Montegut and Lauren Bancale were flower girls, and Andy Sharp was the ring bearer. Best man was Michael Sharp of Kerrville. Groomsmen were Wally Stanton. Richard Kelley, Miles Montegut, John Doan and Frank Simpson.

Ushers were Michael Fay, Danny Dienhart and David Jackson. A reception at the Brazos Club followed the ceremony. Out-of- MRS. JOHN T. SHARP town guests came from Kerrville, Houston, Dallas, Canada and California The bride is a 1985 graduate of Sam Raybum High School and attended Baylor University.

She holds a bachelor of arts degree in psychology and sociology. The groom is a 1982 graduate of Tivy High School and attended San Angelo State University. He is employed by the United States Navy. Following a honeymoon to Red River, N.M., the couple is temporarily at home in Waco. Engagement Juarez-Ontiveros ment of Janet Marie (Jimmy) G.

The Juarez Ontiveros both of Kerrville, has been announced. The bride-elect is the daughter of Armando Juarez of Kerrville and the late Estella E. Juarez. She attended Tivy High School and is employed by Security Slate Bank and Trust The prospective groom is the son of FractuosoOntiveros Sr. and Paula Meza, both of Kerrville.

He attended Tivy High School and is employed at James Avery Craftsman. The wedding is planned for Feb. 13 at Notre Dame Catholic Church. Hospital sets health screening KERRVILLE Peterson Regional Health Care Center will conduct the first of its quarterly community health screenings on Wednesday at the municipal auditorium. The screening will start at 7:30 a.m.

and conclude at noon. Services offered this month include: complete cholesterol, $5 (this blood draw procedure requires an eight- hour fast); glaucoma testing and visual acuity; blood pressure; weight; cancer risk factor screening; nemo- cult; vial of life. Dates for future 1993 health screenings at the Municipal Auditorium are: Wednesday, April Wednesday. July 28; and Wednesday, Oct. 20.

19 at 4:30 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Kerrville in a double ring cere mony with Pastor Will Bigott officiating. The bride is the daughter of Andrew and Bemice Kunz of Kerrville. The groom is the son of Pat Rogers of Boeme. Given in marriage by her father, the bride was attired in a long sleeve, floor length while satin dress that was designed by her mother.

The fitted bodice was overlaid in French lace, white pearls and iridescent sequins. The train was designed with pearls, sequins and French lace ap- pliques. The headpiece was iridescent tulle with iridescent flowers and leaves. She carried a bouquet of cream roses, yellow and white daisies, teal carnations, ivy and other greenery. Attending the bride as maids of honor were Brenda Kunz of Waco and Becky Kunz of Kerrville.

The bride is 1992 graduate of Southwest Texas State University and is employed by Judson Independent School District.

The groom is also a 1992 graduate of Southwest Texas and is self-employed in San Antonio. Following a honeymoon to Ruidoso, N.M., the couple is at home in San Antonio. Anniversary Mr. and Mrs. J.R.

McGehee J.R. and Ethel McGehee celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Dec. 12 by renewing their vows at Pint Christian Church in Kerrville. A reception followed in the church recreation hall, with approximately 75 guests attending. The couple traveled to Marble Falls, where they had spent their wedding night J.R.
