This Week's Food Values "TT J. today's gazette Ground beef, frying chicken parts, and cooked hams are among the lop animal protein values in this week's food ads, states L.V. Rubright, area marketing agent for the Pennsylvania State University Cooperative Extension Service. TWo additional beef items In the top value listing are sliced beef liver and boneless beef stewing cubes.

No additional beef is moderately priced. Higher priced apply to round steak, beef wieners, chuck roasts, chuck steaks, rib steaks, and sirloin tip steaks. The top frying chicken value is packages of whole frying chicken legs and packages of assorted fryer parts. Moderate prices apply to Cornish Hens and stewing chickens. Higher costs per serving apply to small turkeys and packages of frying chicken breasts.

This week's top value cooked ham items include cooked hams-shank portion, cooked boneless whole and half hams, and canned hams. Other top value pork includes sliced bacon, fresh picnics, quartered sliced loin chops, smoked regular ham shank half or butt portion and fresh pork butt roasts. Moderately priced pork includes pork steaks, chipped chopped ham and sliced ham. Higher prices apply to pork sausage, some chipped chopped ham, boneless pork butts and small-size canned hames. Other top values in meat include some wietaers, piece bologna, and piece braunschwieger.

Moderate prices apply to sliced bologna and some kolbassi. Still higher prices apply to other Wieners, some sliced bologna and some kolbassi. Fish is moderately priced and all lamb features are considered in the high price caterogy. Grade A extra large eggs are a better value than large sizes while mediums and large are just about equal on a weight basis. The best supplied fruits are grapefruit and oranges.

Moderately available fruits are bananas and strawberries. Lightly supplied fruits include apples, avo-cadoes, cantaloupes, grapes, honeydews, lemons, limes, pears and watermelons. The best supplied vegetable is dry type onions all alone. Moderately supplied vegetables include snap beans, cabbage, carrots, celery, corn, cucumbers, eggplant, endive-escarole, greens, iceberg lettuce, leaf lettuce, mushrooms, green onions, peppers, potatoes, radishes, squash, sweet potatoes, tomatoes and turnips. Lightly supplied vegetable are asparagus, broccoli, and cauliflower.

at Robinson Community Bessie I. Albaugh was married to John H. Penrose May 15, 1924, at the Lutheran Church, Indiana by the Rev. J.B. Baker.

Mr. Penrose is the son of Charles and Cora (Lichtenfels) Penrose and was born April 20, 1901 In Robinson. Mrs. Penrose, daughter of Ray and Annie (Stiffler) Albaugh, was born Oct. 19, 1902 in Conemaugh.

They are the parents of six children; Mrs. Guv (Gladys) Brendlinger, Medina. N.Y.; Mrs. Russell (Edith) Garland, Robinson; Charles, Robinson; Dean Robinson; Merle, at home; and Mrs. John (Janet) Fry, Robinson Fifteen grandchildren and nine greatgrandchildren complete the family.

Mr. Penrose is retired from Heshbon Coal Co. Killinger Kali a Vows Solemnized Miss Connie Jean Killinger and Andrew James Kalina were United in marriage April 27 at the Armagh United Methodist Church. The Rev. Dr.

George Biggs of Johnstown performed the double ring ceremony. Miss Killinger is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Killinger of Armagh. Mr.

Kalina is the son of William Scaife and the late Andrew Kalina. Presented in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by her sister. Miss Carol Killinger, as maid of honor. Best man was Mark Bowser of Johnstown. Mrs.

Doris Lichtenfels was soloist and David Hirko was the organist. The bride and bridegroom are both 1972 graduates of United High School. She is employed by Lee Hospital. Johnstown and he is employed by Dietrich Industries. Blairsville.

The newlyweds are residing in Vin-tondale. Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the home of the bride's parents. Delta Zetas Cited At Rose Banquet Approximately 100 collegiate members, parents and alumnae gathered at Foster Dining Hall last Sunday for the annual Rose Banquet of Gamma Phi Chapter of Delta Zeta. Following the dinner, Miss Julie Ba-locko, president of Gamma Phi Chapter, welcomed the guests and presented Miss Margorie Black as Delt of the Year. Miss Rusth Podbielski, alumnae president, presented scholarship awards to Geri Drnach, senior; Virginia Kerr, junior; and Beth Capp, sophomore.

Each senior and all new pledges were given a gift from the alumnae. Mrs. Walter Gallati presided at the annual house corporation meeting. Elected to the board of directors for two-year terms are Mrs. Leonard Anderson and Miss Podbielski.

The groom is a 1970 graduate of the same high school and is attending Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He is serving with the Indiana National Guard Unit and is employed by WDAD and WQMU Radio Station and Waxler's Indiana.

She wore a headpiece of ribbon and pearls which held her shoulder length tiered veil.

Her bouquet consisted of a cascade, arrange- Talus Rock Girl Scouts Set Open House Talus Rock Girl Scout Council will hold an open house at Camp Con-shatawba, Council's resident campsite near Summerhill, on Sunday, May 19 from 2 to 4 p.m. Members of the Council's Board of Directors, Executive Staff, the Camp Director and Camp Staff will be on hand to greet Girl Scout families and friends. Girl Scouts and their parents will have an opportunity to tour the camp, learn about the resident camp program and register for the session of their choice. The school safety patrol is being given a bowling party by the PTA in recognition of the outstanding work they do throughout the school year. Tentative plans are for May 18. Mr. Fyock is employed by the Flor-sheim Shoe Company and is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Ira Fyock of Commodore. The couple has planned their wedding for June 30 at the Faith Lutheran Church in Pleasant Hills.

fit? fe4l DAR Invites Chapters To Flag Day Luncheon Quota Board Members Announced Indiana Quota Club met recently at Ramada Inn of Indiana. Members of Blairsville Quota Club were guests for the dinner meeting. Officers who will be installed at the next dinner meeting were announced as follows: Theresa Barris, reelected president; Mary Larsen, first vice president; Dorothy Merrill, second vice president; Rose Reschini, secretary, and Martha Wiley, treasurer. Mrs. Barris, president, conducted the election of board members.

They are: Evelyn Mindo, Patsy Hawxhurst, Claire Lapsley and Maud Brungard. It was announced that a rummage sale would be held in May. A request for hearing aids not in use in Indiana area was read from the Butler Quota Club. Members were asked to be prepared to review the by-laws of the club. Miss Wiley, chairman of the bazaar, gave a progress report on items being made.

Beatrice States was installed as a new member. Jane Putt, membership chairman, and Mrs. Barriss officiated, presenting Mrs. States with a rose and a Quota pin. Peg Mazza and Mrs.

Merrill, entertainment chairmen, presented Candy and Ken Snyder, a husband and wife team, who sang a medley of songs from their record, "Sounds of lovemm Nineteen members of the Conemaugh Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution met Tuesday, May 14, at the home of Mrs. Gurney Evans, Blairs-ville RD. The regent, Mrs. George Rombaeh, opened the meeting followed by the prayer by the chaplain, Mrs. Robert Gil-more; the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag and the reciting of the American's Creed.

The President gereral's message was read by Mrs. Frank Barkley. A national defense talk on "Behaviorists Are Ruining Our Children" was presented by Mrs. Gilmore. The regent read thank you notes for the chapter's contributions to Kate Duncan Smith School and Tamassee DAR School.

The annual business reports were presented by the chairmen of the standing committees. Patty A. Bradway Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Bradway, Meadville RD 1 announce the engagement of their daughter.

Patty to Randy J. Fyock. He is the son of Mrs. Patricia Fyock, Main Street. Conneautville, and Everett Fyock, Linesville RD 2.

Miss Bradway is a 1971 graduate of Randolph-East Mead High School and is employed by the First National Bank at Cochranton. Mr. Fyock is a senior at Conneaut Valley High School and is an apprentice carpenter for Ridge Homes, Conneaut Lake. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs.
