Friends may call at the mortuary from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday. Bolinger was found dead In Northwest Park at 10:40 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 16, 1980.

Charles Woollng- ton, Howard County coroner, attributed death to a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Bolinger was born in Kokomo Feb. 1, 1954, a son of Fredrick Bolinger of Los Angeles and Mary (Lindley) Bolinger of Kokomo, who survive. He was married Dec. 28, 1973, to Denise Tubbs, who also survives.

Other survivors are three brothers, Robert and Daniel Bolinger, both of Kokomo, and Allen Bolinger, serving with the Air Force, and two sisters, Rebecca Moore of Kokomo and MaryEllen Andrews of Germany. A sister preceded him in death. He was employed at Kokomo Sales as a serviceman in heater and cooler maintenance and was a member of Howard Masonic Lodge. Jess Brown MONTICELLO, Ind. Jess Brown, 81, Monticello, past owner of Frank's Lodge on Shaffer Lake here, died in Home Hospital, Lafayette, Wednesday, Dec.

17, 1980. Born Dec. 22, 1898, in Linton, he was the son of Charles A. and Mary Ann Brown. He was married to Mary June Brown, who died in 1974.

Surviving are three daughters, Barbara Stoneking of Kokomo, Rosemary Heckman of Indianapolis and Martha Flora of Wabash; two sons, William Brown of Bloomington and James Brown of Monticello; and 21 grandchildren and 12 great- grandchildren. He owned and operated the lodge on Shaffer Lake from 1948 to 1963 and was a member of Treaty Christian Church, Wabash. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Planner and Buchanan Broad Ripple Mortuary, 1305 E. Broad Ripple Indianapolis, with entombment in Crown Hill Mausoleum, Indianapolis.

Friends may call at the mortuary from 4 to 9 p.m. today. died In a hospital here Monday, Dec. IS, I960. Me was born July 26,1902, the son of Stephen Douglas and Harriett (Qulgley) Baxter. He was married to Goldle H. Rasmussen, who preceded him in death.

Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Doyle and Diane Daniels Hayden; a son, John Baxter; four sisters, Nayme Fisher, Verne Adams, Ruby Bates and Ruth Anthony, and 10 grandchildren. Three sisters and a brother preceded him in death. He had worked in Kokomo from 1924 to 1963 and at one time was superintendent of presses at the Cuneo Press. He also had worked for Cuneo Press operations in Chicago and Philadelphia. From 1963 to 1969 he was plant superintendent of Blanchard Press in Garden City, N.Y., and from 1969 until his retirement in 1976 was quality control consultant for Esquire magazine.

He was was a member of Sunrise Lodge, Masonic Lodge, Knights Templar and Dinah Temple. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Alban's Episcopal Church, 6240 N. Avondale Chicago, with burial in Mount Emblem Cemetery, Elmhurst, III.

Friends may call at M.J. Suerth Funeral Home, 6754 Northwest Highway, Chicago, from 4 to 10 p.m. today. Masonic rites will be conducted at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Friday.

The family prefers memorials be in the form of contributions to the Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children in Chicago or to Mooseheart, a home for children in Aurora, 111. 16, 1980. Born in Tipton County, Dec. 10,1915, he was the son of Fred and Rachel (Beard) Rakestraw. He was married to Catherine Robison, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Susanne Edwards of Sebring and Linda Hewitt of Kokomo R.R.

a brother, George Rakestraw of Kokomo; and six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He formerly had been employed for more than 20 years at Cole Locker Plant in Sharpsville and was a member of Fairfield Christian Church, Oakford, Ind. Lucille F. Pummell ROCKVILLE, Ind. Lucille F.

Pummell, 81, Rockville, formerly of Kokomo, died in Parke County Nursing Home here Wednesday afternoon, Dec. 17, 1980. Born in Kokomo Feb. 10,1899, she was the daughter of Richard and Daisy (Bartholomew) Jackman. She was married in 1940 to A.

Clint Pummell, who died March 3, 1971. There are no immediate survivors. She formerly had been employed in Kokomo at J.W. Carothers grocery store and was a member of Order of Eastern Star. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m.

Friday in Albright Cemetery, Kokomo. Fenn Funeral Home, Kokomo, is in charge of arrangements. No public calling hours are scheduled. Briant Leo "Lee" E. Briant, 61, 1250 S. Cooper died In Veterans Hospital, Indianapolis, at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 17, 1980, following a two-year illness.

Born In Leominster, Oct. 20, 1919, he was the son of Albert and May (Smith) Briant. He was married to Helen Swift, who survives. He had served with the Army during World War II and was self-employed as a roofer and carpenter. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Surviving are two sons, Greg Briant of Kokomo and Mike Briant of Lomita, two stepsons, Ron Cass of Fort Meyers, and Larry Cass of Los Angeles; three stepdaughters, Janet Hill, Linda Markley and Arlita Williams, all of Kokomo; two sisters, Yvonne Kovick of Buffalo, N.Y., and Corona Collier of Los Angeles; a grandchild and several step-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Ellers Mortuary with the Rev. William Babb officiating. Burial will be in Veterans Cemetery, Marion.

Friends may call at the mortuary from 5 to 9 p.m. today. Edward C. Westbrook PERU, Ind. Edward C.

Westbrook, 44, Shady Lane Village, Peru R.R. 5, died at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 16, 1980, in Howard Community Hospital, Kokomo. Born in Chambersburg, Jan.

27, 1936, he was a son of Edward C. and Virginia (Colston) Westbrook. He was married Aug. 2, 1958, to Eula Mae Clark, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Lisa and Brenda Westbrook, and three sons, Eddie, Calvin and Tony Westbrook, all at home; a brother, Colston Westbrook of Albany, and three sisters, Naomi Martinez of Richland, and Diane Bell Hill and Tanya Hill, both of Chambersburg.

Westbrook was retired from the Air Force and had coached Police Athletic League football teams in Kokomo and Babe Ruth baseball league teams in Bunker Hill. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Grissom Air Force Base Chapel with Chaplain John Simmons officiating. Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery, Bunker Hill. Third from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. Nancy A. Wogerman Nancy A. Wogerman, 73, 5708 Peshewa Court, died in her home Wednesday.

Dec. 17, 1980. She was born in Indiana April 6, 1907, the daughter of Milton and Mary Smith. She was married to Earl Wogerman, who preceded her in death. She was a member of Alexandria Pentecostal Church.

Surviving are five sons, George Wogerman of Anderson, Orza Wog- erman and Fred Wogerman, both of Kokomo, and John Wogerman and Robert Wogerman, both of Marion; three daughters, Frances Wilson of Kokomo, Anna Mae Knipp of Converse and Virginia R. Moore of Marion; two brothers, George Smith of Anderson and Charlie Smith of Yorktown; and 36 grandchildren. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Noffze Funeral Home, 501 N. Harrison Alexandria, with the Rev.

John Leffler officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Alexandria. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today. Mary Etta Phillips Mary Etta Phillips, 73, a resident of Forest Park Healthcare Center, died in Howard Community Hospital at 5 p.m.

Wednesday, Dec. 17, 1980. She was born in Tipton County Aug. 21, 1907, the daughter of Thomas R. and Nancy Ellen (Bishop) Brown.

She was married Sept. 3, 1927, to William Roy Phillips, who died Dec. 16, 1960. Surviving are two sisters, Helen Bender of Galveston, with whom she made her home before entering the health care facility, and Martha Sieradzki of Barren Springs, and a halfbrother, Roma Brown of Tipton. She formerly had lived in Charleston, 111., and had been employed in the dietary division in the Charleston School Corp.

She was a member of the Christian Church, Charleston. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Murray Funeral Home, Galvston Chapel, with Elder William F. Hawkes officiating. Burial will be in East Union Cemetery, Hamilton County.

Harold W. VanBibber, 64, 458 E. Freeman died In Clinton County Hospital at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 17, 1980.

He was born in Prairie Township In Tipton County April 26, 1916, a son of Lora and Chloe (Spaulding) VanBibber. He was married May 5. 1938, to Helen Lindley, who died Feb. 24, 1974, and was married Sept. 23, 1975 to Letha Jenkins, who survives.

Also surviving are a son, Joe Van- Bibber of Tipton; a stepdaughter, Sandra Irwin of Michigantown; a brother, Ward VanBibber of Sharpsville; and a grandchild. He was a farmer and horseman and was retired from Delco Electronics Division, Kokomo. He had lived in Prairie Township until 1967 when he moved to Frankfort. He was a member and past master of Russiaville Masonic Lodge. Services will be at 2 p.m.

Saturday at Stout Funeral Home, Russiaville, with the Revs. Gene Voss and Stewart Carter officiating. Twilight masonic rites will be conducted at the funeral home at 8 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Sharpsville Cemetery.
