Meredith WEW KSD-TV IS AIMING Its late-night programing at the sophisticated audience beginning in January and is adding another variety show to its schedule. "Weekend," starring Jerry Lester, will be presented Saturday nights following the "Gold Award Movie." Coupled with the NBC -TV network's "Tonight" show with Johnny Carson and tha newly-announced "Tonight in St. Louis" with Russ David, the Lester program will round out a Monday -through-, Saturday schedule of variety, talk and entertainment. The new show is syndicated and produced in New York. Lester had a weekly variety show of his own in the early days of network television.

ANOTHER JANUARY OFFERING of KSD-TV will be the Monday -through -Friday "Leave It to the Girls" program which will be presented at 4 p. m. Maggl McNellis will be hostess of the show that will pit the women's point of view against that of a well-known male guest. Material for the light-hearted man vs. woman program will be based on letters and views of the audience.
