Their Engagements Announced Margaret Ann Hartenbach, R. D. Fischer to Be Married THE ENGAGEMENT of Miss Margaret Ann Hartenbach to Robert Dale Fischer was announced last evening by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Marion Charles Hartenbach, at a family dinner party at their home, 15 Spoede lane, Creve Coeur.

Mr. Fischer is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon. A.

Fischer, 6 West Point lane, St. Louis county. The bride-elect, who is known to her friends as Peggy, was graduated from St. Joseph's Academy and attended Marymount College in Salina, Kan. She is the sister of Robert J.

Hartenbach and the granddaughter of Mrs. Henry C. Hartenbach and the late Mr. Hartenbach and of Mrs. Christopher H.

Muckerman and the late Mr. Muckerman. Mr. Fischer was graduated from Parkway High School and attended the University of Missouri and Washington University. He is the brother of Charles A.

Fischer and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Frank N. Nurre and Mrs. August C.

Afterward, Mr. and Mrs. Hartenbach will entertain wedding guests at a reception at Glen Echo Country Club. MISS MURIEL ANN BAIRD ENGAGEMENT of Miss Muriel Ann THE Baird of Boston, and Hampton, N.H., and William John Peniston, son of Mr. and Mrs.

George E. Peniston, 9 Berkley lane, Ladue, has been announced by her mother, Mrs. Clifton Craig Smith of Hampton. The wedding will take place in July. Miss Baird, who i is director of a dental research program in Boston under the supervision of Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, is a graduate of Forsyth School, an affiliate of Tufts University.

Pitman, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Lockett G. Coleman. His great-grandparents, none of whom is living, were Mr.

and Mrs. Lorraine F. Jones and Dr. and Mrs. John Pitman, all of Kirkwood.

The bride-elect, who is associated with the American Field Service in New York, is a graduate of the Brearley School in New York and Radcliffe College. Mr. Pitman is an alumnus of the Hill School and Marietta (0.) College. He is an on active duty with the Seventh Regiment of New York, stationed at Fort Dix, N.J.
