W. The warm days for the. past week and the singing of the birds, makes us think of summer time. Spring is" fast making its -appearance. The peach and plum blossoms have about all come out in full bloom.

The ladies have started their summer since spring is opening up, but the cold snaps will continue to come, for two or three-weeks yet. Easter is -real late this season, the third Sunday in April. At the close of the game, the Burcalo pupils served lemonade to their opponents.

Messrs. Earl Garvin and Clarence Garvin served as the efficient umpires. Excellent sportsmanship was shown throughout the- game. Burcalo. wishes to return the game soon.

Hookworm Survey in Aiken County Schools In collaboration with the United States Public Health Service and Laboratories of Vanderbilt University the Aiken County Health Department announces that a survey of the incidence of -hookworm in this County will be made in the near future. Mr. R.

S. -Gary, of Vanderbilt University will probably begin work in Aiken County next week. This work will consist of the collection of laboratory specimens from pupils in various schools of the county. At the Vanderbilt Laboratories the presence -or absence of hookworm in each individual examined will be determined. The computation of the approximate number of hookworms or the degree of infection will be determined in all cases found to be infected.
