4B ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH OBITUARIES Reuben Anderson, 55; Co-Founder, Head Of Andy's Seasonings Inc. Here George G. Wartey; Businessman, Engineer the Rev. Larry W.

Lee and Roy Lee, both of St. Louis, and James Anderson of Ya-kota, Japan; and seven grandchildren. Reuben Anderson, co-founder and president of Andy's Seasonings died Friday (Nov. 22, 1996) after suffering an apparent heart attack at his home in St. Louis.

He was 55. In 1981, Mr. Anderson and his wife, Katherine, launched Andy's Seasonings Inc. in the couple's basement on Washington Avenue. The company relocated in 1988 to 2829 Chouteau Avenue.

Mr. Anderson worked as a production planner for 15 years at McDonnell Douglas Corp. Mr. Anderson served on the board vard. A funeral service will be held at noon Wednesday at Eastern Star Baptist Church, 3117 St.

Louis Avenue. Burial will be in Longview, Texas. Among the survivors, in addition to his wife, are his son, Jun Anderson of Boise, Idaho; three brothers, Alphon-so Anderson of Henderson, Texas, and Bennie Albert Anderson and German Anderson, both of Dallas; three sisters, Onita Burke of Dallas, Joyce Turner of Allen, Texas, and Arzalia Coyle of Longview; four stepsons, Michael Lee of Okinawa, Japan, and of directors of the St. Louis Gateway Classic Foundation and was a member of the St. Louis Ambassadors.

St. Louis Mayor Freeman Bosley Jr. appointed Mr. Anderson to the St. Louis Port Authority Commission and the St.

Louis Civil Service Commission in 1993. He also received the Better Family Life Entrepreneur of the Year Award and the Young Democrats of St. Louis Outstanding Business Person Award. After the war, he became a small-business man, running an ice cream and candy store, Mary Ann's, in south St. Louis with his wife, Florence. Later, he and his late son, Myles, operated several frozen-custard stores on the South Side. 24, 1996) at St. John's Mercy Medical Center in Creve Coeur following a stroke. He was 86. Mr. Wartey, of Creve Coeur, headed the Dymacast Division at the former Chromalloy American Corp.

of St. Louis from 1968 to 1975, when he retired. Dymacast made aluminum casting machines. He previously was executive vice president of Shep-ard Engineering which merged with Chromalloy. Earlier he was national sales manager here for Shep-ard Toy Co.

Mr. Wartey, originally from Waterloo, Iowa, earned an engineering degree from Northwestern University and came here in 1939 to work as a window dresser at the old Vander-voort's department store downtown. In the 1940s, he signed on as a handyman for the construction of the old small arms plant on Goodfellow Boulevard. He rose to be plant manager. 9440 Manchester Road, Suite 104, St.

Louisan who taught fine art at several universities, died Saturday (Nov. 23, 1996) at her home in Las Cruces, N.M., after a long illness. She was 66. Mrs. Bartheld studied art at Washington University in St.

Louis and set up her own commercial art firm. She later became art director at Webster Publishing House in St. Louis. Mrs. Bartheld left St.

Louis to enroll in the fine art program at New Mexico State University.
