Both families are living in Pitcairn. The ceremony took place yesterday followed by a reception at the Officers' Club. Following a honeymoon in California, the couple will reside at the Yuma station. Col. John Abbey, post commander, gave the bride in marriage, and Major Earl C.

Stem-pie, post chaplain, performed the ceremony. Thelma Carr of Pittsburgh was maid of honor and Major N. M. Swomley acted as best man. Junior Woman's Club who have belonged for 10 years or more.

Dog Only 'Girl' The only "girl" in the family is Nancy, the dog. The older boys named her. Donnie and Dale do a lot of things together, too. Thry can make their own beds, set the table, empty rubbish and look after the baby whom they call "Poor Little Honey." The two took part in a dance recital at Avalon High School. They are learning tap dancing.

Mrs. Pierce has been a member of the North Boroughs Juniors for about Ave years. Because her children, her hus-hand and her mother have been so helpful, she has been able to participate in a number of club activities. During the last two years, she has been chairman in Emsworth of the Mothers' March a big bowl. Members Will Sew Members of the philanthropic department of the Avalon Woman'i Club will gather tomorrow at the borough halL The group will sew for Suburban General Hospital and make cancer dressings.

That was exciting. But last week, it was even more fun when they went to a neighbor boy's birthday party. Their mother Is a member of the North Boroughs Junior Woman's Club, and chairman of its motion picture department. The Allegheny County Federation of Women's Clubs, through its motion picture department, campaigned for record players for the Thorn Hill School. Not Enough In Mrs.

Pierce's club, the members contributed about $10. They felt it was too small a sum. Mrs. Pierce decided to have a card party to enlarge the club's contribution. The basement recreation room had been newly painted and would hold more tables than the living room.

Donnie and Dale set up the Mx card tables and put on the covers. They placed ash trays and tallies on each one. Then they unfolded chairs and placed four at each table. It was a big day when the women came and played cards, because the boys had played such a big part in their mother's party. Members of Mrs.

Pierce's department baked cookies to also is presidential advisor for her home organization. In her capacity with the County, Miss Church edits the County Line, Junior periodical. She helped to start Junior Jottings, bulletin of the Allegheny Valley Juniors. She does a little other writing column-type material for the local paper and various other articles. But making good travel time Is routine with Miss Church. She travels 52 miles every day to and from work. She lives in Natrona Heights and works in the training section of the Veterans' Administration In Downtown Pittsburgh. Miss Church has been In government work for more than 10 years. During the war she worked on the rationing board.

As she puts it: "I had my combat action at home." Through woman's club activities, Miss Church explains, "you get into almost all the activities in the She has been active in work at the YMCA in her home town. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John J. Lydon, also of Morningside. Attending the bride were Mrs.

John Arnold, matron of honor; Dorothy Madden and Ruth Ann Lydon, the bridegroom's sister, bridesmaids. Thomas P. Lydon was his brother's best man. Ushering were Ralph J. Lydon and Earl Glaw.
