The racks were displayed at the Laclede Power Building, 1246 Lewis Street, four blocks north of the President Casino.

The building is at the entrance to the trail. The joint project of Trailnet and the university is intended to promote bicycle racks as functional pieces of public art. Of 50 designs submitted, organizers hope that nine racks can be built and installed throughout the city. She was born on April 18, 1928' in Greenville, South Carolina; the tenth and youngest child of the Reverend Charles Gandy and Belle Victoria Brock graduated from Sterling High School in Greenville. Ruth received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Spelman College, Atlanta, and her Master's, degree sociology from York University. While at Spelman College, she fell in love with and later married Walter Washington of Birmingham, Alabama. To this union of 52 years, four beautiful children were born.

She also was survived by two sisters, Alma Love and Theodosia Johnson, and one brother, David Conrad Gandy. Ruth was a vivacious, giving woman who loved life, always put others before herself and loved to entertain and socialize with her many friends and family members.

The love she gave her husband, family and friends was always unconditional, abundant and unsurpassed. She generously opened her doors and welcomed all of her children's friends throughout the years, usually treating them as her own. But her five grandchildren always brought the biggest smiles and greatest joys in her life. Ruth formerly worked for the -ye -St. Louis Housing Authority and the Human Development Corporation.

She participated in many volunteer activities and was an active member of many organizations including the Spelman Club, Jack and Jill of America, the St. Louis chapter of Links, the St. Louis Smart Set, the Girl Friends, and the Booklovers Club. LOUIS DEATHS Dr. Clement J. Sullivan Allergy and immunology specialist BY BETHANY PRANGE Of the Post-Dispatch Dr. Clement J. Sullivan practiced internal medicine in allergy and immunology for more than half a century, treating patients until he was in his 80s.

Dr. Sullivan, a clinical professor emeritus at the St. Louis University School of Medicine, died Wednesday (March 19, 2003) at Mari de Villa Retirement Center in Town and Country. He was 93 and had lived in Clayton. Born in St.

Louis, Dr. Sullivan graduated from St. Louis University High School and attended St. Louis University. He earned a medical degree from the university's medical school in 1933 and later obtained a master's degree in internal medicine.

Gary A. Noska Worked at Post-Dispatch Gary A. Noska, a dedicated Post-Dispatch employee, died Wednesday (March 19, 2003), apparently of complications from liver disease at his home in St. Louis. He was 51.
