ST. LOUIS POST- -DISPATCH MONDAY, APRIL 13, 1992 ROAD CONSTRUCTION The following list reports on major road construction projects that could cause traffic congestion. Information for the list was provided by the Missouri Highway and Transportation Department, Illinois Transportation Department and construction contractors. MISSOURI St. Louis City: a Spring Avenue Viaduct: Temporarily closed between Chouteau Avenue and Forest Park Boulevard for repairs.

North County Interstate 170 and Interstate 70 (interchange): The lanes will be narrowed and speed reduced on northbound and southbound lanes of I- 170 and on the ramps for 1-70. Traffic may be stopped intermittently in offpeak hours. Interstate 270: The left lanes of northbound and southbound I-270 will be closed north of Dorsett Road because of work in the median. Earth City Extension: The extension north of St. Charles Rock Road has been opened.

Missouri Bottom Road: Closed between Taussig and Dunn roads beginning today. Detour via Gist Road. West County: Ballas Road: Heavy congestion between Highway 40 (Interstate 64) and Magna Carta Drive. There is a low clearance of 11 feet 6 inches on Ballas Road at Highway 40. Highway 40 South Outer Road: Closed between Schoettler Valley Drive and Woodroyal Drive.
