HACKETT See Wille HALLIBURTON, MARY JANE, 92, died peacefully in her sleep Dec. 7 from complications of cancer. Mary Jane was born in Richmond, VA, to Warren and Martha Adams. She was graduated from the Bishop Tuttle School of Social Work at St. Augustine's College in Raleigh in T932.

Shortly after graduation she married the School's Dean Cecil D. Halliburton. Their only child, Jane Evelyn Halliburton (Amati) was born two years later. Mary Jane worked as a social worker for the City of Raleigh before becoming a full-time home-maker and mother. Her daughter was later graduated from Fisk University, attended the University of Chicago's Graduate Program in English Literature, and taught In the St.

Louis Public Schools for 20 years. From 1953 to 1957 Mary Jane served as House Director at Fisk University in Nashville, TN, where her husband was Dean of Admissions. Cecil Halliburton died in 1956 in Nashville. Following his death, Mary Jane moved to Knoxville, TN, and served as the Student Center Director at Knoxville College until she retired in 1977. She moved to St.

Louis In 1980 to make her home with her daughter. In 1981 she joined Trinity Episcopal Church where she served in various capacities for over 1 5 years. Her daughter, Jane Amati, died in Sept. 2001. Mary Jane Halliburton Is survived by her grandchildren, Ann T.

Amati and Christopher D. Amati, who both live out of state, and by several cousins. Service will be held at Trinity Episcopal unurcn, ouu n. cucno, 3:00 p.m.. Dec.
