Mary I. Scott, aged 70 years, died at her home in Ingram this morning at 1:45 o'clock of a complication of diseases. She was district deputy of the Daughters of St. George, and was a prominent figure in secret society circles. Mrs.

Scott had been a member of the Daughters of St. George since its organization, 25 years ago. and was actively engaged in the establishing of new lodges of the fraternity In the Pittsburgr district. She was a member of the West End Methodist Kpiseopal Church. Mrs.

Scott was born in England and came to this country 25 years ago, settling in Ingram, where she has lived continuously since. She leaves a son, George of Locust street. North Side, and a Bister, Miss H. J. Jennings, of Ingram.

Funeral services will be held at the family residence, Dallas avenue, on Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment will be in Chartiers Cemetery. Cnpt. William II. Rodger.

Captain William H. Rodgers, aged 77 years, a descendant of the early settlers of Pittsburg and a veteran of the Civil war, died last evening at 8 o'clock In the West Penn Hospital, where he had been for four months, from heart failure. He was the son of Mrs. Margaret Upde-graph Rodgers, who was born In Pittsburg in and it is understood, that her futher David Updegraph, was born here, as the Updegraph family is known to have settled in this section in 1728. Captain Rodgers was born on what is now Third avenue, on the site occupied by the Kagle Club.

His father, Robert Rodgers, was the junior members of Howard Rodgers. the first firm of coppersmiths in the city. Captain Rodgers adopted the trade of Irs father and followed it until his retirement. He moved his business from this city to McKees- after the most expensive designs one which other dealers price at $25.00. The Rev. D. S. Poling, aged 80 years, a minister of the United Evangelical Church at Johnstown, died last night at his home in South Fork. He was a minister of the Evangelical Association more than 50 years and was in active service until a few years ago.

James Carson. James Carson, aged 63 years, is dead at the home of his brother, Dr. Jason W. Carson, at Black Lick, near Saltsburg. He was born in White township and lived there until a few years ago.
