Page 8 -Friday, November 29, 1991 ETHEL RACHEL PATTERSON, 93, Mountain View Manor, Hillsdale, formerly of Clymer RD2, died Wednesday, Nov. 27, 1991, at Mountain View Manor. The daughter of Elsworth and Emma E. Henry Cook, she was born Aug. 21, 1898, in Green Township.

Mrs. Patterson was a member of the Christian Church of Pine Flats and the Senior Citizens of Penn Run. Surviving are seven children: Mrs. Alverda Rummel, Barnesboro RD Mrs. David (Thelma) Long, Warren, Ohio; Jacob, Nanty Glo; Mrs.

Bruce (Laura) Shaffer, Indiana; Ernest, Nanty Glo RD Mrs. Merle (Annabell) Lydic, Strongstown; and Lawrence, Clymer; 58 grandchildren, 153 great-grandchildren and 156 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, D. Ernest Patterson, on Nov. 25, 1961; three brothers and four sisters: Bertha Stroker, Howard, Delbert and Norman Cook, Wilda Jones, Cora Little and Mabel Rainey.

Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. today and 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday in the Rairigh Funeral Home, Hillsdale. Friends will also be received Sunday at the Christian Church of Pine Flats from 1-2 p.m., the time of services. The Reverends David Morrison and Robert Bartlebaugh will officiate.

Interment will follow in McDowell Cemetery, Barnesboro RD 1. JUNE WALBECK, 83, 78 Juniper Homer City, died Thursday, Nov. 28, 1991, at Indiana Hospital. The daughter of Jackson W. and Carrie Glen Cramer, she was born June 8, 1908, in Seward.

Mrs. Walbeck was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Homer City. Surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jay Eudell Walbeck; and five brothers and two sisters: John, Harrison, Emory, Howard, William and Clair Cramer; Bertha Baker and Violet Hudie. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.

Saturday at the -Askew Funeral Horne, Homer City, where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. John Wood and Vicar Dawn Spading officiating. Interment will follow in Brush Valley Lutheran Cemetery. JOHN PLATKO, 81, Avonmore, died Thursday, Nov.

28, 1991, at his home following a long illness. The son of Michael and Rose Bobak Platko, he was born July 4, 1910, in Carnegie and lived in Avonmore most of his life. Mr. Platko was employed by National Roll Industries in Avonmore where he worked as a molder until retiring in 1972. He was a member of St.

Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, Avonmore. Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Wanda Cecilia Telezinski Platko; two sons, John Eugene and Dennis Michael, both of Avonmore; three brothers, Joseph of Canada, and Walter and Henry, both of Poland; and two grandchildren. was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Valerian and Joseph. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.

Friday in the Curran Funeral Saltsburg. Funeral services will held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. William Homolak officiating.

Interment will follow in the Westview Cemetery, Avonmore. JANE W. SCHNEIDER, 89, of 718 Wayne Indiana, died Wednesday, Nov. 27, 1991, in Indiana Hospital. The daughter of W.

Fred and Anna Sutton Wettling, she was born Oct. 23, 1902, in Indiana. Mrs. Schneider was born in Indiana and had lived with her husband in various cities, the last of which was Harrisburg. In 1968, she returned to Indiana, where she was a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church and the Indiana Country Club.

She also member of the Junior League of Harrisburg. Surviving are two nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband. Herbert C. Schneider, and her parents.

There will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday al Oakland Cemetery, Indiana, with the Rev. Richard D. Adams officiating.

A homemaker, she was a member of the Dayton Church of God, Eastern Star, Elderton Senior Citizens and Christian Women's Association of Kittanning. Surviving are two sons and one daughter: Kenneth J.

Indiana, PA JON FLOWER, 49, 365 Debbie Drive, Indiana, died Thursday, Nov. 28, 1991, at Conernaugh Valley Memorial Hospital, Johnstown. The son of John Gerald and Mary Alice Yeager Flower, he was born Dec. 18, 1941, in Akron, Ohio. Mr.

Flower had lived his early life in Akron; Rapid City, S.D.; and New Concord, Ohio, before moving to Indiana in 1984. He was a member of Graystone Presbyterian Church, Life Underwriters Association, Indiana County Radio Club, 1.0.0.F., Society of Petroleum Engineers, Society of Professional Well Analysts, and the Indiana Wrestling Boosters. was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a graduate of South Dakota School of Mines and Technology and Ohio University, where he received his master's degree.

He was an oil field log analyst for many years before working as a special agent for Metropolitan Life Insurance. Surviving are his wife, Camilla Hofer Flower; his mother, Indiana; a son and two daughters: Jason, at home; Alicia Marie, Indiana, and Lorine, Pittsburgh. He was preceded in death by his father. Friends will be received from 24 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Robinson-Lytle's, Indiana.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Graystone Presbyterian Church, 1 Indiana, with the Rev. Jerald B. Landry officiating. Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery, Indiana.

MAE LOUIS DREW, 71, of Ninth Street, Barnesboro, died Thursday, Nov. 28, 1991, at Memorial Hospital, Johnstown. Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Long-Contres Funeral Home Barnesboro, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev.

Keith Conover officiating. Interment will follow in North Barnesboro Cemetery. Obituaries DOROTHY SILBAUGH BURKETT, 65, Beacon Manor, Indiana, formerly of Dixonville, died Wednesday, Nov. 27, 1991, at Indiana Hospital. The daughter of Reu and Josie Silbaugh, she was born Dec.

24, 1925, in Hubert. Surviving are five children: Clyde Oklahoma City, Thomas, Wyo ming: Mrs. Allen (Nancy) Deyarmin, Cherry Tree Exton; RD William, Stowe; and Danny, 16 grandchildren and eight She in death by her parents; her husband, Emery Burkett; three brothers and five sisters. There will be no visitation. Private memorial services will be held at the family's convenience.

CAROLINE HORSEK DROZDOWSKI, 100, formerly of Harwick, died Wednesday, Nov. 27, 1991, at the home of her daughter in Saltsburg. She was born March 29, 1891, in Poland and had resided in Harwick up until the last five years when she resided with her daughter, Helen Cup. Mrs.

Drozdowski was a member of Our Lady of Victory Church, Harwick, and also the PNA of Harwick. Surviving are a son, Joseph Horsek, Arnold; four, daughters, Rose Belice, Saltsburg; Mary Ramirez, New York; Nellie Combs, Florida, and Helen Cup, Saltsburg; seven grandsons; 13 greatgrandchildren, and one great-greatgranddaughter. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Horsek, in 1939; her second husband, Joseph Drozdowski, in 1948; and a son, Carl Horsek, in 1991. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.

Friday in the Charles Jarvie Funeral Home Springdale. A Christian funeral mass will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday in Our Lady of Victory Church, Harwick, with the Rev. Regis Farmer officiating. Interment will be in Deer Creek Cemetery, Harmar Township.

Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Victory Church. EDNA M. WEISS, 71, of Shelocta RD 3, died Thursday, Nov. 28, 1991, at Indiana Hospital. daughter of Edward Lohr and Edith Hershberger Lohr Hamil, she was born April 14, 1920, in Sagamore.

Mrs. Weiss was a member of the West Lebanon Community Church. A housewife, she had resided in Shelocta RD 3 for the past 45 years. Surviving are three daughters and three sons: Mrs. John (Jean) Hatmaker, Wilderville, Mrs.

Revail (Janet) Hastings, Clarksburg; Mrs. James (Darla) Phillips, Valley City, Ohio; Kenneth, Cleveland, Ohio; and Ronald and William, both of Shelocta; 21 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and three sisters: Mrs. Murray (Thelma) Fairman, Emporium; Mrs. Eva Mae Armstrong, Las Vegas, and Mrs. Andrew (Arlene) Rohacck, Tallmadge, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arthur "Art" Weiss, in 1988; three grandchildren; one brother, Wesley Lohr; and two sisters, Laura and Olive Lohr. Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. Saturday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev.

William Fish officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery. JOHN JACOB MOSER, 64, Indiana RD 4, died Nov. 26, 1991, in Indiana Hospital. The son of Clyde and Clara Moser, he was born Dec.

15, 1927, in Carey, Ohio. Mr. Moser was a member of Brush Valley Methodist Church. He was also a member of the Teamsters Union and was a veteran World War II. He was the former owner of Moser Truck Stop and was a retired truck driver.

Surviving are his wife, Martha M. Barger Moser; sons, Gary, Armagh, and Bruce, Kittanning; a daughter, Mrs. Howard (Marsha) Kuhns, Norfolk, nine grandchildren; four brothers, Donald, Galion, Ohio: Wilber, Bucyrus, Ohio; Robert, Marion, Ohio, and Richard, Kathleen, and three sisters, Virginia Vaughn, Frostproof, Jean Pierce, Marion, Ohio, and Mary Deppen, Clyde, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson, and brothers Edward and Charles. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m.

Ridley officiating. Interment will follow in Brush Valley Methodist Cemetery. Military rites will be accorded by local veterans' organizations. ROBERT S. McGAUGHEY, 68, of 275 Ben Franklin Road North, Indiana, died Tuesday, Nov.

26, 1991, in Mesa, Ariz. The son of Virgil and A. Elizabeth Chambers McGaughey, he was born Sept. 27, 1923, in Indiana. Mr.

McGaughey was a member of the Graystone Presbyterian Church, VFW Post 1989 and U.C.T, all of Indiana. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Prior to his retirement in 1981, he was employed by McCreary Tire and Rubber Company as a maintenance supervisor for 23 years and by McCreary Industrial Products Company as production and general manager. He continued to be a consultant for Polymer Industrial Products Company and Rubber Technology Piney Flats, Tenn.

Surviving are his wife, Maejean Laney McGaughey, whom he, married on Feb. 24, 1944; three daughters and a son: Mrs. Larry (Patricia) Conrad, Warren; Mr. Charles (Barbara) Humenik; Mrs. Larry (Carol) Rayko and Kevin all of Indiana; eight grandchildren; and two brothers and a sister: Wallace Indiana; C.

Virgil "Bud" Richmond, and Mrs. Donald (Dorothy) Widdowson, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents. Friends will be received from 24 and 7-9 p.m. today at the Funeral Home, Indiana, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m.

Saturday with the Rev. Alan Hager officiating. Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery, Indiana. RICHARD THOMAS STEVENS, 50, Carlisle, formerly of Saltsburg, died 1991, in Carlisle Hospital. The son of Ivan and Carrie Williams Stevens, he was born Feb.

16, 1941, in Indiana. Mr. Stevens was a member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, Carlisle. He was employed by Valk Mfg. Carliste.

Surviving are a wife, Barbara Fisher Stevens whom he married Aug. 12, 1967; a son, Robert, Mechanicsburg; his mother, Carrie Stevens, Blairsville; a sister, Mila Chesnic, Fredericks, and a brother, Ivan "Sam" Indiana. He was preceded in death by his father. Friends will be received Saturday, Nov. 30, from I1 a.m.

The daughter of James U. and Sadie A. Cannon Gillespie, she was born March 11, 1916, in Punxsutawney. Miss Gillespie was a member of St. Bernard of Clairvaux Roman Catholic Church, the BPOE Auxiliary, and the American Contract Bridge League, where she served in several offices of the Indiana club.

Associated with various educational associations, she was a 1934 graduate of Indiana High School. She received her teaching certificate from the former Indiana State Teacher's College in 1938 and received her master's degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1968 after doing some graduate work at Pennsylvania State University. She began her teaching career in English at Export High School, Export, and taught at Clearfield High School from 1945-1963. She was a faculty member of the Indiana Area School District from 1963 until her retirement in 1975. She was preceded in death by her parents.

There will be no visitation. Friends will be received at an 11 a.m. funeral mass at St. Bernard of Clairvaux Roman Catholic Church, Indiana, with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The Frank T.
