LOUIS DEATHS Headquarters Technical Communications Group. His unit saw action in the Ardennes, Rhineland, North-em France, Southern France and other theaters. He was awarded seven Bronze Stars.

Upon discharge from the Air Force in 1945, he joined the Missouri Air National Guard 131st CAM Squadron at Lambert Field as a full-time reservist. He retired in 1983. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Bopp Chapel, 10610 Manchester Road, Kirkwood. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m.

Wednesday at St Genevieve du Frank T. Puglisi Decorated World War II veteran Frank T. Puglisi, a decorated Air Force veteran, died Sunday (Sept 24, 2000) at St. Joseph Hospital in Kirkwood, apparently of a heart attack. He was 77.

Mr. Puglisi was a native of St Louis and enlisted in the Air Force in 1942, serving during World War II in Central Europe with the 435th Bois Church, 1575 Wood lawn Avenue, Warson Woods. Interment will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery with full military honors. Mr. Puglisi's first wife, Brenda Puglisi, preceded him in death.

Among the survivors are his wife of 33 years, Frances Puglisi; a daughter, Gerry Puglisi of Crest-wood; a son, Mark Puglisi Sr. of Florissant; two stepdaughters, Gail Elble and Jan Hoffman of Clayton; a sister, Grace Puglisi of Scotts-dale, a brother, Anthony Puglisi, also of Scottsdale; and two grandchildren. Neighbors, high school students pitch in: It's just the way country people are" THE ASSOCIATED PRESS DEATHS ELSEWHERE soybeans, but tobacco accounts for more than half of their income. "It will help them tremendously," said 16-year-old Remington Pierce, a member of the DeKalb chapter of Future Farmers of America. Pierce convinced his school administration to excuse 11 FFA students to help harvest the tobacco.

"I've known them all my life. Their boy is in pretty bad shape, and they'd do it for us." Hickman added: "It's hard labor, but if we relieved some of their troubles or thoughts, then it's all worth it. It's just the way country people are." I The family is ever grateful. "It just tickled us to death," said Dennis Reagan, Zane's grandfather, i i He said the family was surprised when wagons and tractors rolled onto their farm to help with the harvest I "Everybody in the comknunity just jumps in when somebody has a problem. I can't say enough to tomorrow we don't have to get the tobacco done and we can concentrate on Zane," she said.

At 10 months old, Zane was diagnosed with his first brain tumor. He was treated with chemotherapy and a stem-cell transplant operation. Billie Reagan said his condition had improved, but at a routine checkup last Tuesday, doctors found a second tumor, one-fourth the size of the original one. "That really stops your life," Reagan said. "It pulled us out of the tobacco field." The community thought pitching in with the harvest was the natural way to respond.

"It's neighbors helping neighbors," said Doug Hickman, who organized about 35 volunteers to harvest six acres of tobacco in one morning. The tobacco must be hand-cut, and six hired workers usually collect the crop during a three-day to one-week period. The Reagans also raise corn and DEKALB, Mo. The family didn't know what to do. Their 2-year-old son was improving after treatment for a tennis-ball-sized brain tumor when doctors found another one.

There was no way they could get their tobacco crop harvested while caring for their toddler. So the community stepped up. "To come out and to work in the tobacco field is not easy work. We owe a big thanks to the community," said Billie Reagan, mother of 2-year-old Zane Reagan. "Right now, we would like to be with the kids.

It helps to know that publishing into his 97th year. In "Impeachment" in 1973, he argued that impeachment did not require an indictable crime but was satisfied by abuse of an office. In "Executive Privilege" published in 1974, he contends that the president's power as commander in chief was subject to Congress' power to declare and make war, and that the chief executive had no monopoly on foreign relations. Before and after World War II, Mr. Berger worked in Washington for various federal agencies, including the Securities and Exchange Commission.

He later practiced law privately in Washington until 1962, when he joined the law faculty at the University of California at Berkeley. Several years later, he returned east to become a research fellow in legal history at Harvard Law School. RA0UL BERGER, 99, of Concord, a well-known constitutional scholar whose legal writings helped undermine President Richard M. Nixon's claims of executive privilege, died at home Saturday (Sept. 23, 2000).

Berger, once a professional violinist, did not become a lawyer until he was 34. He published seven books on constitutional law and more than 100 law review articles. He was actively writing and thank them," he said. FUNERAL NOTICES INGRAM, JOHN H. entered into peacful rest, on Saturday, Sept.
