Mining Men Interested Local mining men are interested in the bulletin "Field Tests for the Common Metals" by George R.

Fansett, mining en gineer of the Arizona Bureau nf Mines, which has just come off the press. This bulletin explains in detail how to make the tests for detecting the different metals, oils and impurities in sand that is to be used in concrete. This latest edition is much revised and Diversified City Says Ward enlarged eMitioBS over the and should preceding meet the needs of prospectors mining men and others even more effectively than the former editions, Anyone desiring a copy may obtain it free by writing the Arizona Bureau of Mines of the University of Arizona, at Tucson. Brown, P. D. OverfieW, and Henry Kochsmeier were at the reservoir Friday, last week. They report work moving rapidly. Mrs.

Woolpert and Clara Myers went down into the Greenback gold district Sunday last and staked out some claims in the country not far distant from the above named property. Mrs. May Fnrback, anp party, were in the mining district aoatb of Casa Grande Thursday staking out gold claims. "The strength and successful growth of Casa Grande lays in the fact of its being the source of supply to diversified industries," stated Homer Ward, of the Gin Lung when questioned concerning the future of this city. "Take for instance this business," says Mr.

Ward. "There are numbered among our customers farmers, miners, stockraisers and railroad men. Since taking hold as manager of this store, I have made it a point to observe the ratio of increase in business, and the icciease has been a very substantial one and that it is almost equa'ly divided among the industries. With the increase of farming and mining during the past three months trade has picked up correspondingly. Stock raising is now on the mend, the rains, and this has always been a feeder to Casa Grande, "There is no question about property in Casa Grande being good investment for the city derives support from interests that are growing, and it will grow with them," Frank Brown and wife of Wilkesburg, were visitors here this week the guests of Senator F.

Brown, of the S. who is a cousin of Mr. Brow.
