Finally, VPrayer for America" presents a plea for the future of our nation. It is the musically expressed hope that America will turn back tn its spiritual foundations and to the living God of the universe. When the "world renowned" author was informed of the action, he replied, "The book was whiten for mature people, not for the immature who would ban it." This philosophy is the usual canned reply of authors, movie makers, magazine publishers, who indulge in obscenities. 11 has been repeated and parroted so often that many people have come to conclude that in order to be "mature" or "adult" a person must not only tolerate, but engage in filthy speech and immoral actions. If one doesn't condone or participate in such filth he is labeled a religious fanatic or immature bi goi. Such a philosophy Is even more devastating when one realizes it leaches our young, people that maturity is equated with filth and corruption in speech and conduct.

That's why our verv young try to ad big by using vulgarity and prolan i ty. That's one reason why they smoke and drink. Sex is another way to "prove yourself mature." I feel sorry for these misguided young people, but I feel a greater sorrow for those who have set stirh guidelines of maturity before them- Jesus once said. "It is impossible but that offenses will come: but woe unto him. through whom they come! It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and lie cast into the sea.

than that he should offend one of these little ones." (Luke 17:1.2 Mt. Some who are yelling the loudest about maturity have given good evidence that they themselves nave not reached it The same is true with much talk about hypocrisy. Books and movies which advertise thai they "tell a like il is are often guilty of great hypocrisy. They never once say the reason they wrote the book or made the movie was to make a lot of money. Usually those who "tell it like it is" only tell one side and that is the filthy, vulgar and profane side.

Writers and speakers who engage profanity and vularity to get their point across, or to express showing signs of small vocabularies signs of immaturity. We might expect such from a child who is trying to grow up. but who doesn't really know how. but from an Why do you Drink? Smoke? Isn't it because you are not man enough to say no? How mature are you. really? Think about it.
