GO-WEED Mississippi River Festival POP, ROCK AND FOLK MUSIC Mississippi River Festival St. Louis Symphony ORCHESTRA CONCERTS The St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, Walter Susskind, Music Director, will enrich summer evenings with 18 weekend concerts. Maestro Susskind will conduct the entire series, featuring outstanding guest soloists. All programs subject to change.

Friday and Saturday evening concerts at 8:30 o'clock. Sunday evening concerts at 7:30 o'clock. Top celebrities from television, motion pictures and the recording field will be featured throughout the festival. Several of these outstanding pop, rock and folk artists will be making their first appearances in this area on the festival stage. Galactic Vision will produce light environmentals for selected attractions.

Friday, June 20 marks the grand opening of one of the nation's newest musical tvents. With the campus of Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville as its summer home, the St.

Louis Symphony Orchestra will play thrilling series of 18 weekend concerts. An impressive list of distinguished guest artists including the brilliant young American pianist Van Cliburn will appear with the Symphony. In addition, a spectacular lineup of Pop, Rock, and Folk artists will present weekday programs. In short, summer entertainment for every age and interest awaits you at the Mississippi River Festival. 1855 brightly colored directors chairs will provide reserved seating under the glittering festival tent.

The gently eloping lawn area of the natural amphitheater provides informal seating for an additional 10,000 with an unobstructed view of the stage. Attractive dining facilities featuring unusual and exotic foods as well as more usual fare et reasonable prices are located on the festival site. Selected sylvan areas have been set aside for pre-concert picnics. Everything has been designed to provide many evenings of enjoyment for the entire family at the Mississippi River Festival. Readily accessible from both aides of the river, the festival site will provide ample free parking for all concert-goers.

Special festival buses will also offer carefree transportation to all events.
