Zalewski, Mgr. NJ Lic. No. 2820 www.countrysidefuneralhome.com AP-5000769057 obituaries xpress ourcon MyCentralJersey.com/Obits Thanksgiving is that special time of year when you eat your entire body weight in food, fight with your loved ones and watch football (even though your team playing). Once the turkey and mashed potatoes are put away, time to head to your favorite shopping center and experience the blissful chaos that is Black Friday.

If you want to get the majority of your Christmas shopping done during the Thanksgiving holiday bonanza or are just looking to score some great deals, ere are some tips and tricks to survive and succeed during Black Friday. Plan Ahead wait until you get the ads in the paper on Thanksgiving Day to start preparing for your holiday hopping extravaganza list. Black Friday ads started as early as October. Almost every ad will ave leaked online the week before Thanksgiving. Sites such as blackfriday.com, and bestblackfriday- com offer a comprehensive list of all of the major department store ads.

These sites also break down the best deals by category, and provide an updated list of store hours. his will give you plenty of time to see which stores ave the best deals, what time you need to be at each store to grab their doorbusters, and see what stores are worth waiting in line for. Arrive Early If you are heading out on Thursday night to try to score that discounted iPad or that overpriced gaming system your kid stop talking about, then be prepared to leave your Thanksgiving dinner early. Tell your family that you love them and to save you some dessert for lunch the next day. When it comes to Black Friday, people get serious.

I not usually the media-induced hysteria that you ee every year with people being trampled, but that mean a walk in the park either. Hundreds of people will wait in line all day just to score the best deal possible. According to American Express, 45 percent of consumers will be shopping on Black Friday, ith 55 percent of those consumers planning to shop between 12 a.m. and 7 a.m. Even if you show up when the store opens, it might be a while before you actually get inside.

Make sure you dress warm, bring along something to occupy our time (such as a book, smartphone or a friend), and drink plenty of caffeine going to need it. Many people avoid Black Friday because they think if a store is selling a product for such a low price it means the store only has, like, three of the items in stock. not the case at all. It turns out retail stores get a huge shipment of their doorbusters because they know why a ma- ority of people are coming out in the first place. Iscored a 50-inch TV for $200 last year, and I ven close to being one of the first people in the store.

In fact, there were a few hundred people in front of me that had been waiting all day to get one of those televisions. Pallets of the televisions were stored in a blocked-off section of the store. I may not be the case for all the best deals, so make ure you arrive by the time the store opens. THOMAS P. COSTELLO Shoppers are shown at the Jersey Shore Premium Outlet in Tinton Falls on Black Friday, November 28, 2014.
