Bernice Matier, E. L. Guller Engaged; Announced at Party THE engagement of Miss Bernice Matier, daughter of lsadore Matier, 540 Warren avenue, University Hills, and the late Mrs. Matier, to Edward Louis Guller was announced recently at a family party. The prospective bridegroom is the son of Mr.

and Mrs. Morris Guller, 60 Lake Forest. Miss Matier attended Washington University, where she became a member of Gamma Rho sorority. She is the sister of Mrs. Alex Goldstein and Miss Evelyn and Sam Dave Matier.

Her fiance was graduated from Washington. His fraternity is Sigma Alpha Mu. In World War II Mr. Guller served with the army in Italy with the rank of sergeant. He is' the brother of Miss Faye and Donald Guller.

Recently Engage Beuttenmuller-Henle Engagement Is Told; Wedding in Summer A a Derby day party yester- day Mr. and Mrs. George Rudolph Henle of Louisville, announced the engagement of their daughter, Miss Doris Rose Henle, to Paul Aloysius Beuttenmuller, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph William Beuttenmuller of West Palm Beach, Fla.

Miss Henle and her fiance, graduate students at St. Louis University, were unable to attend the announcement party. They will be married this summer in Louisville and afterward will return to St. Louis to live. The prospective bride was graduated from Ursuline College, and St.

The wedding will take place in October at St. Joseph's Church, Clayton. The bride-elect, an alumna of St. Joseph's Academy, attended Fontbonne College. Her fiance, son of Mr.

Nestor Jr. took place yesterday morning in St. Luke's Catholic Church, the Rev. Joseph A. Mc-Mahon officiating.

Four attendants for the bride and an equal number for the bridegroom preceded her to a simply decorated altar. Miss Roslyn Rechtien was maid of honor; Miss Mary Helen Sullivan and Miss' Mary Elizabeth Tout were bridesmaids, and Kathy Beecher was flower girl. Larry Glynn, Paddy McCarthy, Michael Sansone and William C. Murphy the bride's brother, were ushers for Mr. Nestor, whose best man was Richard Patton.

The bride wore a princess-line dress of white lace over satin, made with a square neck and lgng sleeves ruffled over the hands and fastened down the back with lace-covered buttons. Lilies of the valley partially covered a lace cap which held her tulle veil in place, and valley lilies were combined with an orchid to cover the mother of pearl prayer book she carried. A breakfast' at Van Horn's Farm was followed by a reception at the Murphy home. Mr. Nestor and his bride will spend their honeymoon in New Orleans and will occupy an apartment on Wydown boulevard.
