Eggering was a resident of Kerrville for over 20 years and a prior resident of St. Louis, Missouri; he was born on December 21, 1905, in Old Monroe, Missouri; he married Dorothy Frances Fierce on June 14, 1933, in St. Louis, Missouri, she preceded him in death on November 12, 1979. Mr. Eggering worked as a traffic manager for International Shoe, retiring after 46 years.

Mr. Eggering received a Certificate of Recognition as "An Outstanding Older Texan" from the Department of Aging. Mr. Eggering was also preceded in death by his brothers and sisters and one son, Leo Thomas Eggering. II; survivors, four daughters, Sister Dorothy Eggering, SSND, Sister Kathleen Eggering, Mrs.

Dorothy Lee Mainz and Mrs. Mary Ellen Black; one son, Robert John Eggering; 9 grandchildren and 4 great-granchildren. Mass of christian burial for Mr. Eggering will be Thursday, February 18, at 10:30 a.m., at Notre Dame Catholic Church, with Rev. Mike Boulette, Celebrant.

63115. HALES, HELEN (HOLMES), 85, widow of the late Alden Hales, died at 11:00 p.m. Fri. Feb. 12, 1999, in Bartlesville, OK.

A memorial service was held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. A native of St. Louis, Helen Holmes was the daughter of the late John and Ann (Bruening) Holmes. Surviving Mrs.

Hales are one son, John Hales, NJ and three daughters, Lucy (Hales) Sharp, PA, Ellen Hales, CA and Anita (Hales) Haviland, CO and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Holmes and Agnes (Holmes) Groll and four brothers, Aloysius Holmes, John Holmes, Justin Holmes and William Holmes.
