3 OCT 20 1993 OBITUARIES Louis. He served at other churches in Illinois before he returned to St. Adalbert in 1964 as pastor, a job he held until 19671 He later served as pastor at several other churches in Illinois before retiring in 1987. There are no immediate survivors. old St.

Mary's College in O'Fallon. From 1944 to 1950, she was a secretary for the congregation of the Sisters of the Most Precious Blood in O'Fallon. She was a co-founder of the St. Agatha House of Prayer. She retired in 1984.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 4 p.m. Thursday in the chapel at the motherhouse, 204 North Main Street, O'Fallon. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today and from noon to 3:45 p.m. Thursday at the mother-house.

Burial will be at the mother-house cemetery. Among the survivors are two sisters, Mildred Widmer of Fort Wayne, and Emelia Nagel of Salisbury, Mo. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sisters of the Most Precious Blood, 204 North Main Street, O'Fallon, Mo. 63366-2299. Sr.

Corona Striegel; Teacher, Principal Sister Corona Striegel, a retired teacher and administrator, died Monday (Oct. 18, 1993) at the Sisters of the Most Precious Blood Mother-house in O'Fallon, after suffering from cancer. She was 88. Sister Striegel was born in Salisbury, Mo. She entered the order of the Sisters of the Most Precious Blood in 1921 and professed her final vows in 1927.

She earned her bachelor's and master's degrees from St. Louis University and a master's degree from Creighton University in Omaha, Neb. Sister Striegel taught elementary and high school for 13 years in Missouri and Nebraska. She also was a principal for 17 years in St. Louis and Omaha and was an instructor at the School, where he was an all-district halfback.

He earned a bachelor's degree from St. Louis University, where he played halfback for the Billikens. He served in the Army in World War II. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Webster Groves.

Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Croghan Funeral Home, 7825 Big Bend Boulevard, Webster Groves. Burial will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Among the survivors are his wife of 45 years, Rosemary Dolan; three daughters, Pat Copeland of Seattle, Martha Gregg of Sappington and Janice Dolan of Maplewood; three sons, William Dolan of Shrewsbury, John Dolan of Trumbull, Conn, and Michael Dolan of Crestwood; a sister, Frances Noonan of Kirkwood; and six grandchildren. John Terepka, 77; Retired Pastor A funeral Mass for the Rev. John J. Terepka, a retired pastor of a church in East St. Louis, will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at St.

Michael Catholic Church in Radom, in Southern Illinois. Visitation will be from 2:30 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be in the church's cemetery. Father Terepka, 77, of Belleville, died Oct.

1, 1993, at a hospital in Kolno, Poland, after suffering a heart attack. He was visiting Poland. He was born in Wilmington, Del. He attended St. Mary's College in Orchard Lake, and Sts.

Cyril and Methodius Seminary in Orchard Lake. He was ordained in 1943. Father Terepka began his career in 1943 as an assistant pastor at St. Adalbert Catholic Church in East St. WiMamT.

Dolan, 69; On Cards' Chain Gang William T. Dolan, a longtime member of the "chain gang" at St. Louis Cardinals football games, died Monday (Oct. 18, 1993) at Deaconess Hospital after suffering from cancer. He was 69.

Mr. Dolan, of Crestwood, was with the chain gang the sideline crew that marks downs and measures for first downs at Cardinals games in St. Louis from 1962 through the 1987 season, the team's last here before moving to Phoenix. He was also a high school football game official for 35 years. I He was a sales representative for 35 years for Smith-Scharff Paper Co.

He graduated from Maple-wood-Richmond Heights High DEATHS ELSEWHERE JOHN ASHWORTH, 83, who wrote short stories and taught writing at Columbia University for almost two decades, died Friday (Oct. 15, 1993) in New York of complications from cancer. He was 83. Mr. Ashworth won the O.

Henry Award for "High Diver," a story about the length people go to escape working-class lives. It was one of three tales on which the 1950 movie "Queens for a Day" was based.
