Shekells, 21, a construction worker who lives at Alton in Crawford county. Jennings county sheriff Clyde Burkett said Mr. Amos had a bad cut on his chest and a cut on his right knee while his wife had cuts on the face, head and chest and sustained a back injury. Shekells received a cut on the right ear. According to Sheriff Burkett the two cars collided head-on as the Shekells Car was turning left into the Pine Tree Trail er Court where he iwas to go to work with a construction firm laying a water line between North Vernon and Scipio.

After the impact the Amos car went off the road and hit a ditching machine just missing two construction workers, Bur kett said. E. Timbrook Stricken Mrs. E.d a Timbrook, 81, of 548 Deaver road, widow of James Timbrook, died about 8 a.m. today at Bartholomew county hospital: after a 6-month illness.

i I A native; of Jackson county, Mrs. Timbrook was born in 1884 to George and Elizabeth Car-michael Manuel'. She and Mr. Timbrook were married in 1905, and he died Oct. ZX 1958.

Manis Dies After Long Illness Mrs. Florence E. Manis, 49, wife of Jesse Manis of 737 Lafayette avenue, died at 5:40 a.m. today at Bartholomew county hospital. Mrs.

Manis had been in ill health two years and serious condition a month. She was employed at Brown ie's Poultry market until ill health forced her retirement. Funeral rites will be conducted at 3:15 p.m. Wednesday at Barkes and Inlow funeral home the Rev. L.W.

Mayhugh and the Rev. L.G. Anderson. Burial will be at Daugherty ceme tery. Persons may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m.

Tuesday. Survivors are the husband; her mother, Mrs. Mamie Huff man of Route three daugh ters, Mrs. William Mings of Route 7, Mrs. Maurice Bohall 708 Glendale drive and Mrs.

Charles Adams of Muncie; sister, Mrs. Willard Davis of Columbus; and 12 grandchildren. Two sisters preceded her death, and her stepfather, Frank B. Huffman, died Dec. 15.

Mrs. Manis was born in Jack son county Nov. 30, 1916, fb Jack and Mamie Taylor Meeker, and was married to Mr. Manis Jan. 19, 1935.

She was a member of Ogilville Evangelical United Brethren church. Furnace Pipe Cause of Fire NASHVILLE Brown county volunteer firemen put out flames at the William A. Robertson home, a mile west of Nashville on the Helmsburg road at 10:30 p.m. Saturday. The fire was blamed on a defective furnace pipe in the wall.

The blaze caused little damage but firemen had to chop into a wall to extinguish it- A call for Brown county fire men at 12:10 a.m. Sunday turned out to be a false alarm. Garrett was charged with the theft of $300 from Ben Burton of Edinburg Sept. 14, 1964. He had entered a guilty plea Dec 17 and a pre-sentence investiga tion was ordered at that time.

Garrett was piacea on pro bation for two years and ordered to make restitution. H. Isenhower Of N. Vernon Dies Harry M. Isenhower, 84, of 220' and avenue in North Vernon, died at 4:45 p.m.

Sunday at the home of a 'daughter, Mrs. Raymond Robbins, Eliza- bethtown route 1. I Mr. Isenhower was a1 retired painter and decorator, and since 1936 had resided in Bartholomew and Jennings counties. He had been in ill health five days.

A native of Boone county, he was born May 19, 1881. to George M. and Nancy Staton Isenhower, and belonged to the Evangelical United Brethren church at Lebanon. In 1902, he married the former Clara Van Arsdall, and she died in 1907. Survivors are a son, Elmer Isenhower of Crothersville; the daughter; a brother, Albert Isenhower of Atlanta; 10 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

A sister and five brothers preceded him in death. Funeral services will be con ducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday; at Reed funeral home with burial at Center cemetery at Lebanon. Persons may call at the funeral home. Mrs.

Brewer's Father Dies Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Brewer of Youth Camp road have re turned from Buckatrunna, where they had gone due to the death of her father, W. S. Pearce.

Mr. Pearce died Thursday and funeral rites were Friday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Brewer had planned to spend Christmas, in Detroit with members of their family, Mr.

and Mrs. John Brewer and children and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Hechinger and son. Three Post Bonds Two men and a 19-year-old youth posted $100 bond each on public intoxication charges filed against them over the week end by Columbus police.

The patrol 1965 Chevrolet driven by Deputy Donald L. Clark, 43, 1732 Keller avenue, was going northwest in the left lane, passing a line of cars. The truck, a 1963 Chevrolet 1- ton model driven by Richard D. Villain, 30, Franklin, south-eastbound, was damaged $125, and the patrol car, $250.

Mr. Villain was charged with dis regarding a red light and siren. A total of $3,000 damage was estimated to two 1965 Buicks involved in a crash on Road 46 at Petersville, about 1:15 p.m. Friday. Each was damaged $1,500.

The car of Mrs. Sam Calvin, Route 2, pulled from a driveway 'into the path of the east-bound car of Dale Miller, 39, Hope. Sheriff's officers investigated. John D. Denney, 38, 746 Rosemary road, posted $600 bond after being charged with drunk driving and public intoxication after his car hit another car in a Jewell village driveway about 9:45 p.m.

Saturday. The Denney 1958 Chevrolet, damaged $600, skidded into the 1962 Corvair of Elihue Couch, 504 Patterson street, in a drive way facing Evelyn street The Couch car, damaged $175, was knocked into the fence of Paul Baise, 514 Patterson road, damaging it $20. In other accidents, the 1963 Chrysler of Christian S. Grave- sen, 58, Mobil, was damaged $150 when it struck the parked 1964 Chevrolet of Bill H. Battin, Nashville, on Carolina street south of Rocky Ford road about 6:15 p.m.

Sunday. Damage to the Battin car was $200. The 1964 Ford of Mrs. Virgil Guthrie, Route 4, was damaged $250 about 8:45 a.m. Friday after it went off Rocky Ford road at Road 200E and hit two fences.

The fences, owned by Earl Yeley, Route 1, and the Breeden realty company of Co lumbus, were damaged an esti mated $55. The 1965 Ford of Earl H. Carpenter, 42, 734 Delia road, struck the rear of the 1962 Chevrolet of John E. Evans, 26, 619 Fifth street about 7:15 p.m. Friday at State street and Gladstone avenue.

Damage to the Evans car was $75, and $150 to the Carpenter car. City police charged Mrs. George R. Champion of Freetown with failure to yield the right of way after her 1964 Chevrolet collided with the 1957 Chevrolet of Miss Ruby Young, 262 Smith street about 9 a.m. today at Indiana avenue, and Mapleton street Damage to each of the cars was about $250.

Parker Newsorh, Route 1, was report ed stolen in Indianapolis Sa turday between 10 p.m. and midnight while near the Windsor apartments. AUTO FIRE Only call answered since Friday by the Columbus fire department was at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. A 1960 Oldsmobile owned by Clarence Cohee of 2206 Newton street received $150 damage when it backfired through the carburetor.

Perry, 68, Route 8, died at 1:50 p.m. Sunday at Bartholomew county hospital.

Mr. Perry had been in ill health two years but in serious con dition only one day. He retired in 1962 after work ing for 20 years as a machin ist at' Cummins Engine com pany. Mr. Perry was born in Bar tholomew county, Jan.

14, 1897, Albert and Stella Howerth Perry, and married Miss Le one Gulley March, 21, 1918, in Louisville. He was a veteran of the first world war and be- longed to East Columbus Meth, odist church. Surviving are the wife, Mrs. Leone Perry; two sons, Ken neth Perry of Evansville and Robert. Perry of Route a daughter, Mrs.

Judy Hignite. They were married Feb. 21, 2961, and separated Sept. 10. The Hignites are the parents of two children, ages four and 2.

John Bierlein of 1434 -Franklin street dismissed a complaint against Mrs. Mary Bierlein which he had filed June 14 and a suit filed Dec. 15, 1964, against Paul Burton by Mrs. Lillie Burton of 2008 Fifth street also was dropped. Sunday. Police said glass in a west window was broken to permit entry, and an office was ransacked. About $6 was taken and no attempt was made to open the office safe. A Christmas wreath on the door of the Louis Congdon home at 3353 Woodland parkway was removed Thursday night. Miller's Son Killed In Collision Military funeral services were conducted Thursday at Arlington National cemetery in Virginia or Marine Sgt Max Allen Martin, son of Mrs. Raymond Miller of North Park addition, Taylorsville. Sergeant Martin, 27, was killed in an automobile accident Dec. 16 near Santa Ana, Calif. No details of the wreck were learned here.

Surviving with his mother and stepfather are his wife. Mrs. Lu cille A. Martin: a son. Paul Raymond Martin, a brother, Barry J.

Martin and a half- brother, Danny Miller, at home; and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William E. Skaggs of Tay lorsville and Mr. and Mrs.

Wal ter Martin of Martinsville. Mrs. Miller said her son had been stationed in Florida until recently. He apparently had been sent to the west coast en route to an overseas assign ment, and his wife and son had gone to California with him. The brother, Barry, was dischareed from the Marines the week his brother was killed.

Sergeant Martin attended Co lumbus high school and' had worked as a stock boy in local markets before enlisting in the Marines 10 years ago. TRAFFIC (Continued from Page 1.)
