A roll call of 61 missing youngsters was televised Monday night, following an appeal for help by President Reagan, a documentary on abducted kids and a made-for-TV inovie, ths story cf- cno kidnapped and murdered child. Within 27 hours, four children shown in the TV special were found, including two sisters kidnapped 7 years ago by their father who lost custody of them in a divorce proceedings. The brother of one girl shown, but whose picture was not telecast, was also found with her.

Shortly before the broadcast, a sixth child, Cheryl Cramer, 16, of Trenton, N.J., who was named in the roll call, was rescued by the FBI from her alleged kidnapper in Miami, agents said. They said they acted on earlier tips. The FBI said Cheryl was abducted in 1983 while walking to high school. They said she spent the past two years with John Sykora, 32, apparently living in fear. Sykora was charged with kidnapping.

Calls from school officials in Kettering, Ohio, led to the recovery in that town of Kathy Caruso, IS, and her sister, Debbie Caruso, 13, Chapman said. They were abducted IVz years ago from their home in Villa Park, 111., by their noncustodial father. In Lake County, the sheriff department's said tips from local citizens led to the recovery Tuesday of Melissa Klein, 8, of Springfield, Ohio. She was reported missing by her mother last June. Authorities said the woman's estranged husband, John Michael, was arrested.

The telecast photograph of 9-year-old Theresa McDonald led to her recovery and that of her brother, Edward, about 9 p.m., Tuesday, in Denton, Texas, said Chapman, adding that Edward's age was hot immediately known. The two were allegedly abducted Aug. 1, 1983, from their home in by their mother, who has been charged in the case, Chapman said. Fire Guts Former Greenfield School GREENFIELD (UPI) Fire-fighting officials are investigating a blaze that destroyed a century-old former high school early today. Firefighters were called to the former Greenfield High School about 11 p.m.
