By a Post-Dispatch Jefferson City Correspondent JEFFERSON CITY. Aug. 13-Twelve stolen state checks have been cashed for a total of about $5200 since Aug. 1, the Governor's office has reported. Others were cashed at Kansas City and Springfield. Gov. Warren E. Hearnes ordered the Highway Patrol to investigate. The forgeries were relatively easy to spot at the bank, Walsh said.
