CHARLES COUNTY SPOTLIGHT Meeting To Focus On Child Support Laws By Joan Whitehead Of the Si Charles Post Scholarships of $500 each were awarded by the St. Charles County Arts Council to the following seven winners: Sarah Dwiggins, graduate of Wentzville High School, was awarded the Michael J.

Gothberg Memorial Scholarship in Print Journalism. Devon Jones, graduate of Fort Zumwalt South High School, was awarded the Michael J. Gothberg Memorial Scholarship in Broadcast or Electronic Journalism. Amie Kirn, graduate of St. Charles West High School, was awarded the St.

Charles County Arts Council Scholarship in Vocal Music, co-sponsored by Union Electric. Jennifer Fruend, graduate of Lutheran High School, was award ed the St. Charles Chamber Orchestra Scholarship. Chad Bauman, graduate of Fort Zumwalt South High School, was awarded the St. Charles Performing Arts Association Scholarship in Drama.

Jason Weitkamp, graduate of Wentzville Holt High School, was awarded the Ambassadors of Harmony Scholarship in Vocal Music. the St. Charles County Sheriffs Department, 301 North Second Street in St. Charles in the second floor training room. Non-custodial parents are encouraged to attend and discuss visitation issues.

The Dance Connection Competition Team competed with 12,000 dancers at the Showbiz National Finals in St. Paul, for numerous awards. Competition included ballet, lyrical, jazz and tap.

Assistant Prosecutor Leah B. Haub willlead a meeting Thursday to discuss child support laws and how they are enforced. Haub has been in charge of child support enforcement for the St. Charles County prosecuting attorney's office since 1989. The meeting is free and open to the public.
