The Senior class rendered a comady, "The Little Clodhopper," for the first time on Friday evening to a very appreciative audience. The same play will be given again on Saturday evening in the P. O. S. of A.

Misses John Rothermel, William Anthony, students at the F. and M. college, Lancaster, and Gettysburg college, were home to attend communion services and visit their respective parents.

Hannah Royer Sherman. Assistant County Superintendent William II. Mattes held eighth grade examination in the Bethel High school. Forty eight applicants presented themselves to take the test, of whom several failed. The townships represented wore Bethel, Tul- pehocken and Upper Tulpehocken.

Mr. Mattes was assisted by Miss Mary Moore, high school principal, Womelsdorf, and Mrs. Sallie B. Kurr and others. The play entitled, "Aaron SUck from Piukin Crick," rendered by the pupils of the Bethel High School, was well attended.

Nathan Glbble sold 10 steers' to Harry J. Schlappig, drover, who took them to David Merkey, butcher, in Pinegrove, Schuylkill county. The members of the Lutheran and Reformed of Salem church, are inyited to assemble at the church Tuesday morning, May 4, at 8 o'clock, and assist in cleaning the church. This is Children's Week observance, from April 25 to May 2, over all of tho United States, and St. Paul's Reformed Sunday school is observing it by visitation and having a Mothers' Meeting in the Sunday school room on Sunday at 2:00 P. 2. All mothers of the community and their children from the CradlB Roll to tho Junior Department arc urged to be present. Mrs.

Clarence Fox, the County Children's Division Superintendent, will speak to tho mothers while the children will be entertained by our younx people; of the Sunday school by telling.
