Asthma camp offered Camp Superkids, Kentucky's only medically-staffed overnight summer camp for kids who have asthma, is accepting registrations. This year's camp will be July 30-Aug.

Camp Superkids is a program of the American Lung Association and is co-sponsored by Kosair Children's Hospital Foundation. The fee is $100, but scholarships are available. ACT registration deadline is May 5 The next nationwide ACT test date for college-bound high school students is June 10. Students must register online or have their paper registrations postmarked by the end of the day May 5. Late registration postmark deadline is May 19, but an additional $18 fee is required after May 5. The June test date is a popular one for juniors. Around twothirds of test-takers in June have just completed the 11th grade.

Many of them take the ACT, check their scores and then decide whether to re-test in the fall or winter of their senior year. Obituaries Juanita McGirr MORELAND Juanita McGirr, 77, of Junction City, died Thursday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. Arrangements are incomplete at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home. Albert B. Moore Moore HARRODSBURG Albert Bland Moore 85, of Nicholasville, died Thursday at Veterans Administration Medical Center in Lexington.

Born July 15, 1920, in Mackville, he was the son of the late Robert and Gertie Roberts Moore. He was a retired sales representative and sales manager for Kentucky Electric Steel Co. and Reliance Steel. He served in Moore the Army during World War II with the 192nd Tank Battalion, received two Bronze Stars, was a prisoner of war and was in the Bataan Death March. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans and Indian Hills Christian Church in Danville for 25 years.

Survivors include his wife, Bessie Louise Carter Moore; two sons, Gregory B. Moore of Terre Haute, and Bradley K. Moore of Richmond, a daughter, Sheryl L. Crowe of Nicholasville; a sister, Vera Williams of Franklin, seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Services will be 11 a.m.

Survivors include, his son and daughter-in-law, Robert Willard "Bobby" and Pamela Smith Barrick of Danville; two sisters June Wright Ervin of Lebanon, and Christine Bridge of Shelbyville; six grandchildren, Becky and Mandy Barrick, Warren Lee Reynolds, III, Mary Beth Reynolds Morris, Lou Ann Reynolds Illian, and Vicki Jane Lester Leake; also seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Aileen Barrick Lester and one step-son, Warren Lee Reynolds, two brothers, Milo and Paul Barrick. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 29, 2006, 11:00 a.m., Wilder Funeral Home, Perryville by Rev. Paul Barrick, Jr. and Randy Ferrell.

Clara S. Bodner MORELAND Services for Clara Steinhauer Bodner, 87, of Junction City, will be 3 p.m. Sunday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home by the Rev. Scott Wilson.

He Virginia Kennedy Martin, age 87, of McKinney, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2006, at her residence. She was born Saturday, February 15, 1919, in the Bluelick Community in Lincoln County, to the late Bertha Kennedy. She was a retired seamstress of 33 years at Palm Beach Manufacturing in Danville, and a 1936 Graduate of Stanford High School. She was a member of the McKinney Christian Church for 45 Years. She is the widow of Elmer "Doc" Martin.

Survivors include four sons, Powell (Virginia) Martin of Stanford, Carl (Joyce) Martin of Stanford, Fred (Joyce) Martin of Moreland, and Dennis (Regina) Martin of Stanford; two daughters, Mary Jo (Raymond Smith of New Salem, and Brenda (Jesse) Hensley of Cincinnati, Ohio; one daughterin-law, Sue Martin of Stanford; one sister, Emma Anderson of Danville; Sixteen grandchildren; Twenty-seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Russell Martin; two grandchildren, Mitchell and Melissa Martin, and a great-grandson, Gary Lark. Funeral Services will be held Friday, April 28, 2006, at 1:00 P.M. at Fox Funeral Home with Jesse Hensley and Bro. Jim Swafford officiating.

She was the widow of Con Joseph Bodner. Survivors include a brother, Earl Steinhauer of Danville; two sisters, Lydia Ruth Davis of Lost Creek, W.V., and Ann Burton of Junction City.
