The next meeting of the club will be held at the homo of Mrs. Burboom when an exhibit ot antiques will be shown. Luncheon was served at the close of the afternoon. Daniel Dugan Chicago, who spent the summer with his brother Faber, has enrolled as a sophomore in the Pioneer high school. Ruth Lucas arrived Tuesday morning from Tarkio, Missouri, for a short visit at the home of her sister, Mrs. H. Porter and family. She left Wednesday morning. Lillian Rapp, beauty operator in Chicago, arrived Friday for a weeks visit with her mother, Mrs.

Annie Rapp. She also visited with her sisters, Monica and Frances Rapp, who teach in the rural schools In the Lizard and Manson communities. Postmaster C. C. Knoll and son Sterling drove to Sioux City on Thursday where they made arrangements for Sterling to enter Mornlngside college this fall.

The Happy Hearted class of the Presbyterian church met Tuesday evening of this week at the home ot its president, Patricia Goodenough. Arlene Jones conducted the lesson after which a social hour was enjoyed and lunch was served. Harry Smith held a. closing out sale Thursday, Sept. 4, at his farm north ot town.

The family Is moving to Colorado because of Mr. Smith's health. Mrs. A. Wilson, who returned to Sioux City with her daughter, Mrs.

H. Foster and family two weeks ago, returned home Friday. The Foster family drove here with her returning home Saturday. Dick Hewitt of Yamhill, Oregon, who has been visiting relatives here has gone to Elmore, to visit. Ruby Snyder of Worthington, spent the week end at the Charles Howard home.

Charles Howard and son are- spending some time at their cottage on Norway Lake during the hay fever season. Denis Zigrang has returned to Los Angeles after a month's visit with his son Harry and family. Mr.and Mrs. Louis Hackbardk of Lotts Creek, were Sunday visitors at the Mrs. Baessler home.

John Cunningham of Huniboldt, has workmen busy repairing the house he lately acquired in the north part of town. Mr. and Mrs. Gale Berryhlll attended a reception given for the mall carriers at Goldfleld Friday evening. Mrs.

H. Tillson, Wilfred and Cleora, in company of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Trauger aud daughter of Humboldt, drove to Storm Lake, Sunday, where Wilfred enrolled as a freshman at Buena Vista college to begin a course In chemistry. Lewis French is visiting at the home of his father at Durango, Colorado.

Mr. and Mrs. L. Jones drove to Iowa City Friday returning Saturday. They entered their daughter Verlie, in the sanitorium at Oakdale.

Florence Hilbert, who spent the past year at Oakdale, has been released and is enjoying good health. She is staying with her parents north of town. A picnic was held Friday evening at the Log Cabin grounds in honor of Bernice Smith, who is moving to Colorado soon. Supper was served after which games were played. Edward Melavin arrived home Sunday from a hitch hiking trip to South Dakota and Colorado.

E. League Meeting BRADGATE, Sept. The regular monthly cabinet meeting of the Epworth League ot the Methodist church was held on Thursday evening in the William Bowen home. Upon the resignation of Harold Dayton as chorister, Doris Dayton was chosen to take his place. At the close of the business meeting, reports from the various departments were given and refreshments served.

Plan Anniversary Program. The Rebakah lodge meets on Thursday evening, Sept. 21. Mrs. C.

Brandhoij and Mrs. Mary Buck Goldfleld will arrange a program featuring I Irwin. the anniversary of the founding of the Rebekah lodge. MINSTREL SHOW AT RUTLAND LAST WEEK DREW LARGE CROWDS RUTLAND, Sept. minstrel show produced on last Thursday and Friday nights by the Epworth League, drew large crowds for both performances.

Edwin Paulson left the first of last week for Humboldt where he will takeover the management of the DX station at the top of the Johnston hill at the junction of highways 169 and 10. Chris Bonde spent Tuesday night at the Henry Snltkey home in Humboldt. Mr. and Mrs. Elchorn were called, to Linn Grove Friday by the death of the letter's mother.

Mrs. Roy Caryl took care of the children during their absence. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Cockling and children of Pocahontas, spent last Sunday with Mrs.
