System Select Councilman William H. Eckenroth, of the Third ward, on Monday ovtMiing at, the regular session of the city fathers, let tho public into more details concerning his proposed increase of tho city water supply. Two weeks ago he Introduced his bill by title only and much interest lias since been manifested in thu details, which became known foi the first time. Monday evening. The ordinance which is No.

3 on the calendar, provides for an Increase of the. city debt by which ia to bei used "for tho extension, im- provoment anel filtration of the water supply by the construction of 111- teT beds, additional pipe lino from the- city to its supply dams, find water distribution system." SPECIAL ELECTION. In order to secure the assent of the electors lo such increase of in- elr-btpeliipss. a special election is to be held on tho day of July 21, and $200 is appropriated for the expenses incident lo such an election. The corporate authorities are directed to advertise tho proposed election at least thirty days prior to the date, and to give nil details in said advertisements in the newspapers.
