THE PLAIN SPEAKER, HAZLETON, FRIDAY AFTERNOON, APRIL 26, 1946. 24 Rent Refused Says Tenant In connection with the report in local papers on the suit of Michael Dubrawski of this city to regain possession of a storeroom at 574 Alter street from a tenant, Paul Paternoster, also of this city, Paternoster today denied the statement in court that he failed to pay rent since September, 1945. He said he has regularly offered the rent to Dubrawski, but it was fused and produced checks to back up his declaration. A writ of certiorari issued by Justice of the Peace John Nenstiel of West Hazleton was nullified in a decision for the Luzerne County court en bane handed down by Judge J. Harold Flannery, Atty.

Rocco Falvello represented the defendant and Atty. Adrian Jones the plaintiff. The names of the justice involved and the attorneys on both sides had not been mentioned in the story. Mr. Paternoster said he wanted this information given for the benefit of the public.

Pallbearers were: John Novak, Michael Tandratowiez, Joseph Koziol, Stanley Dluzniewoski, Stanley Bogaczyk and Joseph Yahera. The funeral of Mrs. Anna C. Michael, of this city, was held this afternoon from the Bachman Bros. funeral home.

Rev. R. 0. Chatlos, pastor of the St. Paul's Reformed church, West Hazleton, was in charge of services.

Interment was in the Mt. View cemetery. Pallbearers, were: Charles, Joseph Harris, John Stumpf and Conrad and Alphonse Renaud. The funeral of Mrs. Mary Waskovich was held this morning at 9 o'clock from the family home, 24 West Oakdale.

Requiem high mass was celebrated in St. Michael's G. C. church, MeAdoo, at 9:30 a. m.

by Rev. Nicholas Elko. Interment was in St. Michael's G. C.

Classified Ads Bring Results DEATHS Simon Zuilick Simon Zullick, 81, of 300 East Elm street, died this morning at 10:50 after an illness of 16 weeks.

was a retired boilermaker of the Lehigh Valley Railroad Co. and was a member of the Lehigh Valley Railroad Veterans Association and Lafayette Council 59, Order of Independent Americans. Born in Hazleton, the son of George and Wilhelma Zullick, Mr. Zullick spent his entire life here. His wife, Elizabeth Heiser Zullick preceded him in death 14 years ago.

Surviving, are Harry the Hoppich, following of Harrisburg; Mrs. Albert Vogt, of Hazleton; Howard Zullick, Allentown; and Mrs. Helen Seeof this city. Nine grandchildren also survive. The funeral will be held from the Grebey Funeral Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock with services in charge of Rev.

William Y. Gebhard, pastor of Grace Reformed church. Interment will be in the Vine street cemetery. Friends may call Sunday afternoon and evening. Mrs.

Mabel Rinehimer Mrs. Mabel Rinehimer, 66, of Stairville, died night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Carl Vanfossen. had been suffering from the effects of a hip fracture for the past four years but had been bedfast a Until her injury onlye weektive in affairs of the Stairville Methodist church, Ladies Aid of the congregation, the Rebekahs and the Daughters of America, held offices in the Rebekahs and D. of A.

and was a member of the Rebekah degree team. Surviving are the children: Clyde and Clayton, of Slocum; Mrs. Arthur Stair, of Kingston; Lawrence, of Hobbie; Carlton and Mrs. Carl Vanfossen, both of Stairville; Luther and Percy, of Nuangola, and Millard and Clifford, both of Dorrance. Also the following stepchildren: Boyd, of Nanticoke; Merritt, of Wilkes Robert Lee, Frankenfield, of of Slocum; New Oxford; Frank, of Stairville; John, of Nescopeck and Mrs.

Fred Yeager, of Slocum. Other survivors are a brother, Lawrence George, of Folstown. 47 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren survive. The funeral will be held from the Vanfossen home Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock with services in charge of Dickerson, pastor of the Stairville Methodist church and interment in the Stairville cemetery. Friends may call Monday night from 7 to 9 o'clock.

John Berilla John Berilla, resident of Junedale for the st fifty years, died Wednesday evening, He was last employed at the Hazle Cleaners and was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul's G. C. Church, Beaver Meadows. The funeral will be held Monday morning at 8:30 o'clock from the Bonin Funeral Home.

Daniel Moran Daniel Moran, of 18 Greenwood street, Tamaqua; died at 5:55 o'clock Thursday morning in the Coaldale State Hospital where he had been. a patient for the past week. had been ailing for the past year.

Mr. Moran was born in Silver Brook, and left the South Side to locate in Tamaqua 40 years ago. He was employed at the Tamaqua colliery of the Lehigh Navigation Coal Company. He was a member of St. Jerome's Church in Tamaqua, and of the Holy Name Society, of that parish.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Surviving are his wife, the Lena Krell, two sons, Wilformer, Moran, home; and John Moran, of 114 Schuylkill avenue, Tamaqua. A daughter, Mrs. Francis Walker, of Philadelphia. Five grandsons.

The bridesmaid was Miss Doris Frey, sister of the bridegroom, and the bestman was Edward Porter, brother of the bride. The ushers were Ray and Paul Porter, brothers of the Miss Ruth organist, bridicimbach, presided at the console during the ceremony and Miss Jean Faust sang Mr. and Mrs. Frey are on a wedding trip to Washington, D. C.

Evans-Lucas Clifford Evans, son of Giles Evans of Weatherly, and Miss Helen Lucas, of White Haven, were married Saturday, April 20th, at White Haven, by Rev. Burnett. The bridegroom was recently discharged from the U. S. Navy.

The couple will reside in White Haven. Plaque For Soldier Dead A bronze plaque to contain names of all deceased World War servicemen of Lansford will be purchased by the school board and placed at the main entrance of the high school building. Mr. And Mrs. Boyle Married 53 Years Yesterday was the 53rd wedding anniversary of Mr.

and Mrs. Andrew J. Boyle, of 699 North Vine street, this city. Mrs. Boyle is the former Catherine Clark, of Stockton.

Mr. Boyle served as lieutenant with the city police department for a number of years, was formerly constable of the Twelfth Ward and was prominent in political circles. The couple was married in St. Gabriel's church by the Rev. M.

V. Moylan. Fixing Up Park Workmen have been engaged at Eurana Park, Weatherly, making numerous repairs. Fleshman partment of Palmyra, mother of the injured sailor, revealed that Fleshman was shot while serving with a navy detail operating against the black market. He re-enlisted in the navy last fall and volunteered for the detail slated for the duty in Germany.
