Ellen Scott. Mrs. Martin Madsen, who has been ill with the flu, is able to be up and around the house again. Mrs. Ray Wogen, who was injured last week by falling down the cellar steps of her home, is to sit up now.

Enid Stoebe, west of'townV has accepted the position, of housekeeper at the W. F. Hopley home, and has begun her new duties. Mrs. Blanche Stewart and son Clarence moved Wednesday from the Taft apartments to the Watts residence ust south of the John Brown park.

Mrs. Jens Jacobsen spent Tuesday at the home her niece Mrs. Veggo Peterson caring for the new baby girl who arrived Tuesday morning, Mr. and Mrs. Veggo Peterson of near Hajdy, are the parents of a seven and three-fourth pound baby girl born February 28.

They have named her Mary Lou. Mrs. Carl Gilliland returned on Saturday evening from Fort Dodge where she had spent some time with her daughter Mrs. Deloves Nickless, who has been ill. Mrs, Alice Lowder was a last week Wednesday visitor at the country home of Mr.

and Mrs. C. J. Spayde in honor of Mr. Spayde's birthday.

A birthday dinner was enjoyed. Harold Hackley and daughter Lucile and little grandson Tommy Joe of Council Bluffs, spent from last week Tuesday evening until Friday at the home of the former's parents Mr. and Mrs. P. A.

Mrs. Cavanaugh and laughter Mary Jane spent the week end at the home of her mother, Mrs. Larson, at Rolfe. Bertha Underberg, who has been ill fur some time at the AVilbur Nelson home, is to be cared for the Jim Johnson home. Mrs.

Wilbur Nelson will spent several weeks with her, helping with her care. Mrs. Joe Kendall left Thursday of this week to spend several weeks at the Gust Gustafson home west at Humboldt, where she will help care for Otelia Bergquist, a cousin of the Gustafsous. Miss Bergquist has been a patient for ihe past two weeks at the Lutheran hospital at Fort Dodge, receiving treatment for a broken hip and a dislocated bone in the hip. She was brought to the Gustafson home AVednesday.

Out-of-town people who attended the funeral of Mrs. George Millwurd AVednesday 'afternoon were her three sisters, Mrs. Geo. White of Solon, Mrs. George Burkley and son of Mills, and Mr.

Jens Peterson and Mrs. Inga McCreary of Bradgate, were Monday business visitors in Humboldt. Evelyn Lockwood, daughter of George H. Lockwood of Hardy, was a Monday visitor with Mrs. C.

E. Loekwood. Mrs. Anna AValkner of Renwick, was a AVednesday and Thursday visitor with friends and relatives in Humboldt. Mrs.

Marshall Kurd spent Tuesday In Sioux City on business. The Hurds are planning to move to Sioux City soon. Mrs. Bertha Petersen left last Tuesday for Linn Grove, where she Is visiting her brother Lars Benson and family. Mrs.

Alma Lindstrum of Marathon is visiting at the home of her brother Eric Lindstrum in Dakota City and with friends in Humboldt. Dale Fraser returned home last Friday from Fort Dodge where he has been a patient at the hospital following a ruptured appendix operation. Mrs. Violet Groll, who has been visiting for the past several months with her sister Mrs. James Bosslngham, left Monday evening for an indefinite stay at Nevada, Iowa.

AV. J. Clayton was called to Hopkinsville, Kentucky, by the death of his mother Mrs. Anna Clayton. He also went to Roxboro, North Carolina, where the body was taken for burial.

Nurse Ann Gullixson of Bode, who has been caring for Mrs. Albert VanDriest in Beaver township for a week, returned to her home Tuesday of this week. Mrs. Van- Driest is some better at this time. Oliver Olson of Ames, who is a representative of the Farmers' National company in Omaha, was a Tuesday night supper guest at the J.

Malloy bought this farm last year. Mr. Huen moved to a farm near Barnum which he recently purchased. William Dawson moved to the Mike Loftus farm and Wm. Stein moved to the farm vacated by the Dawson family.

Carl Wilson of Gilmore City, will move on farm the Stein's have beeen farming. Doc. Rosendahl of Manson, moved to the Andrew's house in Pioneer and will farm the Martin Rosendahl land this year. Carl Powers moved to the Thos. Loftus house near Pioneer and Ernest Bloomker who lived there during the winter moved to Dakota City.

Leon Colwell has moved from the old C. Clark farm south oi Livermore to the Williams place one mile west of Bode. Ray Conklin of near Hun, wldt, will move to the Colwell farm. Charles Cran is moving from the J. C.

Miller farm one-half 'mile south of Livermore, where he lias lived for the past twelve years, to a farm between Rutland and Bradgate, known as the Hans Jensen farm. Mr. Miller will occupy his place this year. Grover Bryant who has been living on the L. C.

Trauger farm east of Livermore, is moving this week to a farm eight miles south of Humboldt. G. Smith of Eagle Grove, will occupy the Trauger place. Paul Drushella is moving from the Helen Miner farm to the Jacobson farm three miles west of Humboldt. Ulus Wilson will farm the Miner land in connection with his own farm this year.

Louis Seward, who has been a tenant on the Jim Murphy farm two miles east of town, has-moved to the old Ole Hoff farm three miles west of Bode. Alfred Feaster will occupy the Murphy place. George Brogan is vacating his farm one mile west of Livermore on which he and his family have lived for twenty years, and will live in the Beigger house in the south part of Livermore. Harold Frederick will occupy the Brogan farm. The Daniel Brothers are vacating the old Buchanan place west of Livermore and it will be occupied by a Froh family who are moving to the vicinity from Eagle Grove.

The Theodore Henderson family are moving from near LuVerne this week and will live on the farm recently purchased from AVeaver Hewitt. F. Snyder moves onto the place left vacant by the Baumgartnei's. The A. L. Daggy family have rented a place near Rutland this year and have moved to the same.

The Fred Merkle family of near Bode, are locating on the farm vacated by the M. P. Madseeu family who are moving to Eagle Grove. AV. L.

Hefti and family have moved from this vicinity and will locate this year on a farm near Hardy. Max Meyers of near Goldfield will occupy the farm vacated by the Heftls. Ell Eager and family, who have been living In the B. F. Burtis residence the past year are moving to Audubon.

F. W. Hintz, has vacated the Al Miller farm and is locating on bis own small farm at the edge of town. Mr. nnd Mrs.

Duane Neal will occupy the Miller farm. A. L. Jones of near Renwick, will move on the farm vacated by F. II.

Hintz. The farm on which the Jones family has been living will be occupied by Ralph Consov- er and Jake Kubly of Renwick, will live on the farm vacated by Consovers. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Smith, who were recently married, will farm the parental John farm north of LuVerne.

The Nelsons are moving to the Sam Swank farm. John Hinz family is moving from Lhis vicinity to a farm near AVebs- ter City. Marx Schwyter Is to live on the Ansel Starr farm near Hardy. Cilinore City. C. P. Camp will move from town to the Nell Bluin farm east of Gilmore City, and the Anderson family who have been living there will move to Humboldt. Fred Somers will move from his place to the AValt Moffet farm south of town, for which he traded.

Taylor Beatty who has been living on the Moffet place will move onto the A. L. Peterson acreage on the souUi edge of town. John Both well will move from the Petersoi property to the H. Mullen farrr where Elmer Mason has been liv ing.

The Masons are moving tc town. Max Paulson is moving till: month from the Tim Griffin farm south of town to the Hunter farn north of town.
