Parties favoring this plan, contending with others who want a ten-story building, argue that six stories will answer all requirements In the near future, and when necessity arises for additional room, the four more stories may be added with but very little Inconvenience, on the other hand it is argued that the club Is equally able financially to build a ten as a six-story house.

The growth of the city demands such a building now, and that the first cost In the construction of it will be much the cheapest. Another question to be determined is whether the building shall be erected upon the half-open basement plan, or whether the first floor shall come down level with the sidewalk.
