The speaker was Milton Alpert, Albany attorney, who has been in government for more than 30 years and who is an authority on how state's 1959 amendment to the constitution has aided several counties to complete and have approved a county charter unifying services. Conklin, 27, of Michigan Street, East Bloomfield, yesterday pleaded guilty to reckless driving and driving while his ability was impaired when arraigned before Peace JusSteele, East He paid a $25 fine on the first charge and was placed on probation for two years on the second charge. Included in probation terms was an order Conklin refrain from alcoholics and places where they are dispensed. Conklin was arrested after a one-car accident on Michigan Street on May 29. A passenger in the car was injured and confined to Thompson Hospital here. Ontario County Sheriff's Deputy Robert Smith investigated.

GEORGE D. MASON WALLINGTON George D. Mason, 65, a lifetime resident of this area, died Tuesday (June 23, 1964) after a long illness. Mr. Mason had operated a trucking business and service station in Wallington before building the present Sky-Way Drive-In Theater in 1947.

He also opened the Diner in 1948, next the Drive-In Sky which has remained open 24 hours a day since that time except for one night. He sold the theater after operating it for several years. In 1962 he developed Mason's Mobile Village at Boyd Road and Route 104. For many years he was a fruit farmer, in business with his father, the late Marine Mason. He was a member of Sodus Lodge 392, the Lions and Elks Clubs; Reindeer Club of Lyons, and the Genesee Valley Sports Car Club.

He also was a veteran of World War I. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Floy Salsbury Mason; two daughters, Mrs. Robert Kessler of Rochester, and Mrs. John Marsfelder of Olean; one son, William of Lyons; one sister, Mrs.

J. W. Baker of Marion, Ohio; 10 grandchildren, and one niece, Mrs. Nicholas Breedveld of Kalamazoo, Mich. Friends may call today and Thursday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.

This new dormitory will be erected on a vacant site on the east side of Pulteney Street most recently owned by the Vogt family and previously owned by the late Harry E. Hovey, who acquired from the Margaret Howard estate. The original name of "Hillcrest" is being given to a large white mansion house at 159 St. Clair St. which was purchased a year ago by the colleges and now is to be turned into a girls' dormitory.

It is on the south side of St. Clair Street, opposite dormitories at William Smith. It was purchased from William Scandling of Saga Dining Hall industrial fame, who had acquired it from the late Walter C. Rose. It is one of the few Geneva homes with its own swimming pool and spacious grounds.

Also listed for preparation are new playing fields at the Hamilton Street end of college property west of McCormick House, a girls' dormitory. This involves filling in of swamps areas, installation of drainage tile. These improvements not only will enhance the college property but will remove the nuisance of mosquitoes.
