She weighed 7 pounds, 15 ounces, and measured 20 inches. Maternal grandparents are Bill and Shirley Miller of North Vernon, Ind. Paternal grandparents are Bill and Dixie Tempest, also of North Vernon. Great-grandparents are Robert and Wanda Tempest, Edith Phillips, Charles and Ruth Miller and Norma Bonnet, all of North Vernon. This is the couple's first child.

She is a registered nurse at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. The groom is a 1978 graduate of Aiken High School, a 1982 graduate of Wofford College, and a 1986 graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina. He was a member of the APO fraternity. He is an anesthesiology resident at the U.K. Medical Center, Lexington.

She is employed by Kroger. The groom is a graduate of MCHS and is employed by Hitachi Automotive Products (USA). After a wedding trip to Gatlinburg, the couple will live in Harrodsburg.
