Survived by his wife Kathryn (Kay) of Sun City, a daughter, Mrs. Bruce (Sandra) Norgaard of Hilton, Mr. Hersey was a former employee of Rochester Gas and Electric Corp. and served in the Navy as a Chief Petty Officer during World War I and in the Korean Conflict.

He was also active in the Webster Masonic Lodge. Memorial services were held at the Riverside National Cemetery, in Riverside, CA. on Friday April 15, 1983 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Heart Fund in his memory.
