Scott Venable, son of Dr. and Mrs. Charles Venable, of Walllng- ford, has been named executive C. SCOTT VENABLE In N. C.

Post of the North Carolina Tuberculosis Association, effective June 1. Born in Chester, Venable attended Episcopal Academy and was graduated from the University of North Carolina. For the past three years, he has been a field secretary for the North Carolina TB Association, working In the western part of the state, He succeeds Frank W. Webster as executive secretary of the state association. Announcement of Venable's appointment was made byi Elizabeth Smith, of Goldsboro, member of a special committee which made the selection.

Five Seniors At Swarthmore Get Scholarships Swarthmore High School have been awarded scholarships valued at approximately $1,100, It Is announced by Frank B. Morey, supervising principal. Catharine Wisdom, of 334 Vassar received the Swarthmore Home and School Scholarship, valued at $350. A daughter of Mr. and Mrs.

David Wisdom, she expects to attend Oberlin College. The $300 Elizabeth Bonsall Scholarship of the Swarthmore Women's Club, was awarded to Barbara Shipherd, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Shipherd, of 316 Dartmouth av. She will attend Antioch The $250 Chorus Scholarship was awarded to Christine Ford, daughter of Mr.

and Mrs. Henry Ford, 47 Amherst av. She will enter Duke University. The Baccalaureate Scholarship of $100 went to Ida Mae Lewis, who plans to attend Boston University, and George F. Dunn Jr.

recieved the Senior Class Scholarship of $100. He will enter Penn State in the fall.
