The local wheat market, especially tha September option, continues to bold remarkably well, despite tta absence of foreign de mand. It Is the general belief now that the large Interests control most of the stocks and that exceedingly deliverable stuff on current contracts will be avsllable.

The Iteceinber option also appears to be heavily oversold and the pronounced tendency anion- fanners to hold their wheat, curtail ing ttie movement, seems to induce shorui to cover, despite occasional bearish news. Friday's session marked a further advance ln prices, although the steady upwsrd movement was accomplished ln a very dull market. Traders seemed to regard the movement and the conditions that are affected by the immediate factors as or more importance than the breaking of ground for fall seeding. The general rains in the winter wheat belt will facilitate the latter operation and advices from many sections state that a good start has been secured in plowing. The wet weatner, nowever, tends to aggravate tne general disposition of farmers to store their wheat.

The movement continues comparatively moderate and arrivals are being rap-Idly absorbed. The -cash demand continues strong at well-maintained premiums and stocks show no signs of materially Increasing. Pronounced congestion was apparent as the result of these factors. Favorable weather is reported to have again set in ln the Northwest, but the markets of that region were strong. Liverpool did not fully respond to our previous advances, being affe ted by cheaper I offerings of American winter wneat ana 1 n.

tl 'hlpents were double those of the previous hut were verv from Australia. Few changes were annarert In the nit sit uation. The market Is still congested and tn the absence of offerings, prices, particularly September, advanced sieadilv on a scattered demand.
