Bora in buffalo In 1891, be came to Rochester as an Iron worker to help supervise hte building of the Court Street dam in the Genesee River, and stayed to contract for some of the largest fence Installations in the area. He designed and built the ornamental railing across the Veterans Memorial Bridge when the city asked local designers to provide a structure both ornamental and practical to prevent children from running along the granite parapet He formed the Alliance Fence Co. with his sons la 1947 and has been active In an advisory capacity since bis retirement from the business several years ago. During his retirement, he became interested in modern art, particularly In welded sculpture. In conjunction with the Memorial Art Gallery, be taught welding torch technique to several young sculptors who have had showings of their works locally.

He Is survived by his widow, Kathryn L. Sullivan Dray; two sons, Richard C. and John S. Dray; a sister, Mrs. Arthur Grayson of LeRoy and tlx grandchildren.

Mrs. Al Sigl, 84. Wife of Newscaster Mrs. Julia Sigl, 84, of 126 Thomas Irondeminit. wifo of Al Sigl, whose voice was once known to thousands in Rochester from the "Howdy Neighbor" program ne conducted over WHEC for 30 years, died yester day (March 18, 1966) at General Hospital after a long illness She was born in Rochester and attended St.

Joseph's School. She was married in 1910, and snortiy afterward her husband became a reporter on the old Union and Advertiser, a predecessor of The Times-Union. He went from there into broadcast ing in 1928. He retired in 1959 and became 83 yesterday. Mrs.

Sigl was a member of the Rosary Guild of Sacred Heart Cathedral. Besides her husband, she leaves a son, Paul F. Sigl; two aaughters, Mrs. Owen Rappleye and Miss Clair C. Sigl, and four grandchildren.
