Ludington, Brighton; step-children, Tracy A. McKinnon, Cazenovia, and Stephen D. Smith, Fairport; grandchildren, Louis and Michael DiGioia, Luke and Logan Ludington, Ramsey Grice, Brantly B. Ludington, Jr. and Piper McKinnon; in addition to several nephews and cousins.

Howard was a graduate of Brighton High School, he served in the US Army Air Force during WWII. A graduate of Cornell University, he held degrees in Economics, and a Masters Degree in Business Administration. Always interested in politics, Howard was a lifelong Republican, serving in a variety of capacities, including President of the NYS Young Republicans Association, and an alternate delegate to Republican National Convention in 1956. He worked as a volunteer on Governor Nelson Rockefeller's staff during the governor's first campaign for Governor of New York and in subsequent campaigns for Rockefeller's bid for the presidentcy. In 1960, Howard was appointed by the governor to the Commission to Study Rent and Rental Conditions throughout the state.

An active church member, he was for several years a trustee and administrator of the First Baptist Church- Fairport. During his business career, he was President of H.J. Ludington, a morgage investment banking firm, and was president of seveal family owned Corporations. He had served as a member of the Board of Governors of the Mortgage Bankers Association of America and was a life member of the Mortgage Bankers Association of the Genesee Region. Howard joined the Chase Lincoln First Bank in 1983 and was a senior account officer in the Banks mortgage and treasury departments for several years before retirement.

He was a longtime member of the University Club of Rochester, and of Oak Hill Country Club. He belonged to Seneca Lodge A.M.; the American Legion, Dold Doty Magill Post No. 0771 and a life member of the Damascus Shriners. Friends may call at the Richard H. A Memorial Service will be held at the First Baptist Church of Fairport, 92 South Main Fairport, NY at 11 AM, August 11th. A private interment has been arranged for the family. Reid, Allen Francis Canandaigua: July 30, 2010. Born July 31, 1917, Allen grew up on a dairy farm in Deer River, Minnesota.

He received his Ph.D in chemistry at Columbia in New York in 1943. He married Dorothy Cullen of Palmyra, NY, a marriage that lasted 64 years until Dorothy's death in 2007. During their years in New York, Allen began a life-long job in research by assisting in the Mahattan Project. In 1948 they moved to Texas, where Allen began another life job of teaching, including chemistry and biophysics. In 1959 he received his M.D.

at the University of Texas. When they left Texas in 1967, Allen was teaching at the University of Dallas. They re-started life in New York in Manhasset, but in 1974 moved to Geneseo, where they lived for another 30 years. Allen retired from teaching in 1982 from SUNY. For over 40 years, Allen's love of wood carving, born in Minnesota, grew and resulted in an impressive body of work.

His crystal carvings from his post-retirement years, were requested at shows all over the country. Allen is survived by his daughter, Sally of Oregon; his son, David of Haifa, Israel, and his brother, George of Grand Island, NY. Arrangements Richard H. Keenan Funeral Homes, Inc. Beal, Eva Area Notices Baiardi, Winifred Fitzsimmons Rochester: June 28, 2010 a few weeks shy of her 101st birthday. Winnie was predeceased by her loving husband, Alan; sisters, Catherine Fitzsimmons Kalischer and Elizabeth Fitzsimmons Maguire; brother, Thomas Fitzsimmons. She will be missed by her nieces, Kathleen Maguire Langston (William), Patricia Maguire David (Clifford); and nephew, Donald Kalischer; as well as her grandnieces, Stephanie Langston, Catherine and Sarah David; and grandnephews, William Langston and Clifford David. A seasoned travaler of the world. Winnie was mostly at home in her garden and arranging beautiful floral center pieces.

She was a woman of impeccable taste and warm hospitality, who will be remembered for her gentle, caring nature. A special thanks to the wonderful staff of St. John's Home Reservior 5 and her very compassionate aide Ruby. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, August 10 at 2:30 PM at St. John's Home Reservior 5.
