Eighth-grader Roff Sealfon -scored three goals and one assist for Pittsford (4-0). Freshman Matt Garver had two goals and three assists for the Knights. Bishop Kearney is 1-1. and guard Fred June added 14. Solid three-point shooting and occasional breakaway baskets off steals kept the Wildcats in touch until McQuaid opened a 69-46 lead with another 11-0 run in the first 2:48 of the fourth quarter.

Wilson took its only meaningful lead, 16-14, early in the second quarter after three-pointers by Hagins and June in the final :36 of the first period tied the game, 14-14. McQuaid responded with its first 1 1 -0 run. It started a 20-6 burst that produced a 36-22 lead with 1:55 left in the half, and the Wildcats never got closer than seven points again. to the the Section 5 Class A semifinals. All-state junior point guard Raul Hagins was the only returning starter in the Wilson lineup.

The Wildcats are the defending sectional Class champions. Naylon scored 21 points before intermission as the Knights seized a 38-28 halftime lead.
