The magazine's index of steel production, emerging from Labor Day holiday influence, rebounded eight points last week to a national rate of 80 per cent of capacity, or 8 per cent under the week preceding the holiday. steel market is gradually assuming its fall pattern, with improvement continued in lighter products and a better outlook for bookings in heavier steel," the publication said in ite weekly review. "Railroad buying is interfered with by questions of rates and wages, and automotive buying has not developed to the extent expected. One reason for the latter that models have changed little and steel already in stock can be utilized." Deaths ALBRECHT Entered, Into rest, Sept. 18, 1937, Albrecht.
