The school is open daily from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. for students to come in and locate their classrooms before school begins. Students must bring their schedule with them the first day of school and report to their first-period class at 7:20 a.m.

They will then be given a new schedule on white paper, which they should follow. For more information, call (585) 247-5050. Labor Day parade in city Monday The 21st annual Rochester Labor Day Parade is scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday. The parade begins on East Avenue at Alexander Street; it proceeds down East and turns west onto Main Street, then north on State Street to Andrews Street.

Ridge Road. Nancy Rosin will present an illustrated history of the market and the role Irondequoit gardeners played in its early success. STATE FAIR The 160th edition of the Great New York State Fair I began Aug. 24 at the New York State Fairgrounds in Geddes, near Syracuse. The 12-day fair runs through Monday and includes dozens of concerts showcasing country, rock and pop musicians.

In addition to the music, fairgoers can enjoy a variety of agricultural displays, midway rides, carnival games, historical exhibits and food. Here are some facts you should know: Hours: Gates open at 8 a.m. daily, while the buildings are open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. On Monday, the buildings close at 9 p.m.

Admission: It's $10, and free for children ages 12 and younger. There'll also be free admission for veterans today (with IDs or discharge papers); and for students, ages 16 and younger, on Friday. Parking: $3 for motorcycles. Free shuttle buses will run continually from the upper lots to the main gate. Directions: Take the New York state Thruway (Interstate 90) east to Syracuse and Interstate 690 (Exit 39).

Anne grew up in Pittsfield, Mass and married Robert Dobson who she met at her 10-year high school reunion in 1952. She had worked as a legal secretary for many years in both Pittsfield and Rochester.
