LIFESTYLE HEALTH BRIEFS SUPPORT GROUPS Class Held At Memorial The Family Birth Center at Logansport Memorial Hospital is sponsoring a C- (Vaginal Birth After Cesarean) for expectant parents. The class will be held at 7 Wednesday in Conference Room at the hospital. This class is for all expectant parents, whether they anticipate a C-section or not.

Those who have had a previous C-section and are anticipating either a repeat or a VBAC, should definitely attend this class. The class is taught by Family Birth Center staff, and a doctor's referral is not necessary. There is no charge for the class. For more information, call the Family Birth Center at 753-1583. Candle Lighting To Remember Infants The Infant Bereavement Support Group of Logansport Memorial Hospital will honor and remember infants who have died with a special Holiday Candle at 7 p.m.

Wednesday, Dec. 16, in Conference Room at the hospital. The ceremony is designed to help parents and others cope with the grief during the holidays. Anyone who would like to commemorate an infant who has died is encouraged to attend. For more information about the Holiday Candle Lighting or the Infant Bereavement Support Group, call 753-1562.

Memorial Hospital Offers Health Screening Logansport Memorial Hospital is sponsoring a Health Screening from 9 a.m. to 3 Wednesday at CVS Pharmacy on West Market, Blood pressure-and glaucoma are checked free of charge, and $5 pays for cholesterol and glucose tests. Glaucoma testing is provided by the Eye Care Center of Logansport, A high-density lipoprotein (HDL) test also will be provided for $3. Dukes Offering Diabetic Nutrition Class Duxes Memorial Hospital's Registered Dietician, Margaret Kreger and Marsha Keller, RN will conduct an evening diabetic nutrition class from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, in Allman Room near the hospital cafeteria.

The class is designed to help the newly diagnosed diabetic and family, as well as diabetics established in routines. It will cover several topics, including: medications, diet and meal planning, food exchanges, grocery shopping tips and hints, exercise, and the handling of sick days and travel.
