Page 19 SPOTLIGHT ON Nina Wayne of Camp Runamuck' JBWKSSgSSgWMSWKBKWWffiW 1 'r VNi Statuesque Nina Wayne made the transition from showgirl to television actress in one jump when she was signed to play a camp counselor on NBC's "Camp Runamuck," which will be seen in the fall on Fridays from 7:30 to 8 p.m. on Channels S) and (D. The show is described as a zany spoof about a boys' camp under the supervision of four experts in chaos. Stars in the color show are David Ketchum and Arch Johnson, with featured regulars in addition to Miss Wayne who portrays one "Caprice Yeudleman" including Leonard Stone, Alice Nunn, Mahalia May Gruenecker and Dave Madden. For Nina the role marks the fulfillment of a dream.

She broke into show business as a skater for the Ice Capades at age 15, and after completing high school in her hometown, Chicago, she headed for Las Vegas where she landed a job in a chorus line. She stayed in Las Vegas for three years before moving on to New York where she was hired at the Latin Quarter. From there she was invited to appear on Johnny Carson's late night effort where she caught the attention of David Swift, producer of "Camp Runamuck."
