proposed buying and renovating the former school to include about 70 affordable one-bedroom units for senior citizens and a day health care center. Conifer would own and maintain the building, and lease space to Rochester General Hospital for the health center. The proposal will be presented to school district voters Wednesday, Sept 20, along with a proposition to create a capital reserve fund for future building repair needs in the district Shepherd, Homer September 6. 1989.
