New Temporary Setup Effective Tomorrow New temporary maximum price ceilings on seven fresh vegetables for Rochester, designated one of 14 terminal cities by the regional offices of OPA, were set last night. The prices, effective tomorrow, are what receivers of the vegetables lettuce, spinach, carrots, green peas, snap beens, tomatoes and cabbage here may charge wholesalers and retailers, according to the Buffalo Office of War Information, which relayed the new schedule here. In announcing the new ceilings, OPA officials said they were made after reports had been received that the operation of temporary ceilings set Feb. 24 had disrupted distribution channels.

They added: levels Varied "Trade level ceilings frozen at the time were based on prices governing transactions between Feb. 20-24. The quick application caught prices of some vegetables at different levels In various cities and likewise at different levels within the same city, resulting in heavy shipments of vegetables going to cities having high ceilings." The effect of the new ceilings, it was said, was to set an even level of prices throughout the region, comprisine- five stntps WfiBJTED MEN SERVICEMEN BEAT TAX DEADLINE FEMALE TYPIST Full or Part Timt Work.
