Force reported that several residents in the Chateau Dugas area where the Benton-owned car was recovered, reported that their cars had been tampered with Saturday and one resident reported a blanket had been taken from her car. Sgt. Frank Donovan of the State Police Penn Yan substation, who came to Branchport to recover the car taken from Benton, said he, too, believes there is a tiein in the car thefts. Friends may call at the Weldon Funeral Home Wednesday and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., where a service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday with the Rev. Sheldon Stephenson and the Rev.

MT. MORRIS, Jan. 12 Mrs. Laura Dolan Mann, 74, wife of Carl E. Mann former Mt.

Morris resident died Monday (Jan. 11, I960) in Nunda Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Mann moved to Nunda in 1929 and for many years Mr.

Mann operated an automobile sales and service. Mrs. Mann had been ill since last May. Besides her husband she leaves five sons, Lawrence and Everrett P. Mann of Nunda; Carl E.

Mann Jr. of Rochester, J. Robert Mann of Houston, Tex. and Emmett H. Mann of Pittsburgh, three sisters, Mrs.

Helen Brooks of Avon; Mrs. Maurice H. Mann of Mt. Morris; Mrs. Harold MacArthur of Knapp Creek; a brother, Leo Dolan of Rochester; twenty-three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A prayer service will be held at the Duryea Funeral Home in Nunda on Friday at 10 a.m. with a last rite at 10:30 from Holy Angels Church in Nunda with the Rev. Thomas F. McVeigh officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery at Nunda.

Born in Storm Lake, Iowa, he spent his life there and was a retired farmer.

He had been visiting his nephew, Harold Towsley of Benton. Mr. Mullins leaves his wife, Mrs. Mabel Offord Mullins, and three sons and a daughter, all from Le Mars. The body will be taken from the Weldon Funeral Home, Penn Yan, to Le Mars, Iowa, for funeral and burial.
