Mamoun M. Deis, of 2738 Chili Chili, was charged with second-degree murder. He pleaded not guilty at his arraignment yesterday and was held without bail.

According to police and court records, Deis is charged with stabbing a 26-year-old customer at the Arnett Store, 453 Arnett Blvd. around 9:30 p.m. during a light. The man's name is listed on the court records, but officials have asked it not be publicized because come violent although they did not see him with a weaHn, said Rochester Police Capt. Michael Ix'ach.

Police cordoned olf several blocks of Monroe Avenue near Rosodale and Avondale streets, and armed officers surrounded the house. A negotiation team found Riggins' mother and brought her to the scene to help persuade him to leave the house, Ixach said. Riggins left, the house with his hands in the air about 5:30 p.m. I le was taken to Monroe County Jail where he remained last night without bail, according to jail records. Riggins refused to open the door and retreated further into the house so the deputies outside could not see him, police said.

RIT has decided to provide $1,500 a year for four years to the "anniversary babies." Tuition now is $16,083 a year. RIT will keep some of the $225,000 fund in reserve in case other scholarship recipients decide to attend later, McKee said. They also will establish a graduate fellowship in McClure's name with any remaining money. Erin Wall, a graduate of Livonia High School in Livingston County, said she didn't resist going to RIT. "Everyone always told me I was bound to go to RIT," she said.

She spent many years of service in the Nursing Profession, including serving as a School Nurse for the Iroquois Central School District in Elma, NY from 1956 until her retirement in 1976. Survivors include her beloved husband of 63 years, Roger S.
