Albany. Calif. I was very discouraged when the physician told me after an examination that I had a turner and low blood pressure. To build me up enough te stand an operation would be very hard, as I had severe hemorrhages. I heard so much good the Fong Wan rONQ WAN 24 years in Oakland Herbs did that I decided to try them.

I took the Herbs for over five months. Now nearly seven years later I am In the best of health and more than thankful for what Fong Wan Herb's did for me. Mrs. Florence Askew. A book on herbs Is given upon request at.

GLASGOW SHIPBUILDING Th sharply increased activity in th shipyards of Glasgow, Scot land, resulting from Government orders for war craft has notably improved the economic situation in that city, according to a report from the American consulate general, Glasgow, mad public by th Department of Commerce. Th number of warships now being built in th Glasgow district' constitutes a record for any shipbuilding district in Great Britain, the report said. The most important contract recorded in recent years has just been placed by the British Admiralty with John Brown and Sons, Limited, for a battleship -of 40,000 tons displacement, This is one of the largest order that has ever com to the Clyde and one which will furnish employment for a large number of persons for approxi mately tnree years. Other contracts placed recently with Clyd shipyards war for one merchant vessel of 8000 ton dead weight and 20 vessels of th "minor warship" classes, compriiing boom- deftns vessels, trawlers, and patrol vessels of th whale-catchr type.
