Day of Rest Law Warning Issued State Labor Commissioner H. C. Carrasco issued a general warning today for employers to beware of, violations of California's day of rest law. Carrasco, in San Francisco, said: "We have received many complaints recently of employees being required to work seven days a week.

The law makes it a misdemeanor for an employer to cause an employee to work more than six days in seven. Complaints have been received principally against apartment houses and hotels.
